This is #6 of 366. Taken at a cyclocross bike race. This guy was leading. Used the old camera and a bit of flash & panning. (I've fallen behind on uploads, trying to catch up).

Recently, I spent a day with Marc, a brand ambassador of the German cycling brand Biehler, to photograph their deep winter collection. In this first series, the model wears the Deep Winter Jacket.
"Freezing weather is no excuse. With our deep winter jacket you can focus on your training no matter what the weather is outside. This winter jacket was designed for trips in winter temperatures and adverse conditions."

During the pandemic of COVID-19, many of us struggle due to the state imposed social distancing. So what can lead you through the drought of social distance? What can you do after work? Find ways to live your passion!
Cycling isn't commonly perceived as a social sport, but those who love to compete, know very well how important team efforts are in this sport. Luckily, there are ways to compete with your friends without physically meeting them: Connect and compete with your friends through ZWIFT!
Mount your bike to a roll trainer, hook it up with your computer through wifi or bluetooth and start racing. But make sure to have proper ventilation. Otherwise, it's going to be an even sweatier indoor cycling adventure than it already is.
I haven't seen any online editorial series about indoor cycling, hence I thought about meeting with a fellow cyclist from Stuttgart (last year's winner of the Golden Pineapple Award) to document one full workout. For me, it was important to capture candid moments. Consequently, I never instructed him to pose in a certain way. I simply set up my lights and photographed him during his workout, for a fully realistic indoor cycling session at home.
In times of COVID-19, it is more important than ever to have a passion and to hold on to it.
Otherwise, you might find yourself watching Netflix all day long and getting depressed slowly but surely.

BMX/
(+) coaster brake
lasted for long time till it was given away or went with Jeddah flood I can’t remember!
Silverfox MTB/
(-) heavy steal with mechanical full suspension ~15kg
was taken and resale on auction after I left it in a university student accommodation over the summer!
Dahon Folding/
(+) coaster brake
(+) foldable
(+) light 9.9 kg
(+) single speed as wasn’t so familiar with gears
(-) feels not as one piece and not comfortable for long ride
Giant Hybrid/
(+) Hydro disc brakes
(+) Shimano Alfine 8 speed internal gear so easier to change gears as wasn’t familiar with normal gears
(-) heavy from back cuz of the the Alfine therefore hard to go uphill
(-) size Medium, not really my size
Gilera Scooter/
(+) A->B faster
(-) wearing the helmet caused me neck problem!
(-) not safe when raining,, 3-wheel Piaggio MP3 would be safer
(-) noisy
Cube Hardtail/
(+) toughest bike ever had and the best so far
(+) light frame made of carbon fiber 10.5 kg in total
(+) Hydro disc brakes & front suspension
(+) front suspension helps sometimes from falling over when braking suddenly while going downhill
(-) heaviest gear is not enough to go very fast on road (this could be solved by changing crank chain ring)
(-) carbon fiber is easier to break when involving in an incident!
(-) size 18” Medium, not really my size
(-/+) it doesn't really avoid pump on the road, the suspension is for rocks on the off road
Diamondback MTB/
(+) no worry if get stolen and to be used to go around city and for shopping
(+) can do long ride for leisure
(+) steel frame so more rigid than alloy I found
(-) size 18”, not my size
(-) gears is not accurate nor fast to change
Focus Road/
(+) light carbon fiber 9.18 kg
(+) easiest bike ever had for going uphill
(+) position is so comfortable for long ride
(+) XS 50cm is the right size
(-) takes sometime to get use to ride this kind of bikes
(-) slip over metallic surfaces when wet cuz of the thin tyre (so need more attention on the road)
(-) found it hard to stop with the rim brakes
Whyte hybrid/
(+) size Small, perfect
(+) Hydraulic disc brakes
(-/+) position is not aggressive so not easy to go fast but comfortable when riding in city
Dream bike would be Cyclocross as I think it sits between road and hybrid bikes. it’s as tough as hybrid or MTB and as to go fast with comfort as road. Titanium would last forever and it’s rigid as steel and light. Hydraulic disc brakes (like SRAM S-700) on drop handlebar would be a great option to add.
