All having taken-off from RAF Waddington, they formatted and over-flew the Bomber Command Memorial. Of course, I was in the wrong place, with the wrong lens!

Went for a camera wander and hardly got to the end of the road when out of nowhere the Red Kite appeared over the rooftops , it did a couple of circuits and was off again back over the Common . All the shots against the cloud were just silhouettes and this one was almost as well , at least I could recover some of the detail in what was very dark underwings !!
Eastern Osprey (Pandion cristatus) female Eloise.
One from earlier in the year as I haven't had much time to get out recently.
I have never been able to photograph dippers before, but I walked by the stream in Clapham, North Yorkshire, and saw a juvenile dipper fly by. After a minute or two an adult followed it. The parent was flying away and fetching food and I managed to get some nice photos of the feeding. This photo was one of the technically more challenging ones - trying to capture the adult dipper flying past at low level and high speed. I'm using a new combination of a Canon R5 Mark ii and RF200-800mm lens. There wasn't much light and the autofocus was really struggling and the hot rate of in focus shots was only around 20%. Still, this one is reasonably sharp!

Another shot of the Red Arrows, as they come past the Palace of Westminster, and over Buckingham Palace!

On this particular day last week there were 5 or so Red Kites flying around so I put my camera primed and ready to go by the door. I don't know how I got a focused shot but I was pretty chuffed with this one considering it was taken while tripping over the dog ramp as I stepped out of the back door lol!
