I was shooting a landscape, when this guy comes and snatches a small trout and flys by the boat. It captured that moment, but was not a great series off captures.
Way, way deep in the Idaho backcountry we came to this unnamed lake. It was epic. The cutty's were up to 22" and vibrant. We will be back.

Brown trout caught on a St. Croix rod, Guideline Presentation line AFTM: 5 and a Okuma magnesium reel.
We organized a casting competition for our awesome guides in Punta Allen Mexico last year. This is one of them. They are all absolutely amazing casters.
This shot is of 2 of my buddies fly-fishing on the famous Gunnison river last week. Fall colors are just starting to come in...
Its not about catching fish for me any more. Sure, catching fish is nice but the beauty of fly fishing is the fact it consumes your attention and creates an escape from EVERYTHING else going on in the world, if for just a few hours. Its as if nothing else matters while you are on the water. And it doesn't hurt that fish tend to live in beautiful places!
