This is an early morning image of an unfolding Vinca before sunlight, with dew drops. I used a small LED to one side and with no fill. The leaf glow comes from a small spot-light behind up high behind the leaves. Some of the light source was in the frame and was removed.

Flowers from the garden arranged around a Chinese made teacup. This teacup was a gift many years ago from my daughter who spent a year in China on missionary work. This was hand-painted and also has a lovely matching plate with it.

Lighting was a strong backlight up high to create some translucent in the leaves/petals and a rim light on the vase. Main light was a soft window light. Post In ON1. Background and texture work created in Corel Painter.

This was a really cool mistake flowering. I have a few pots of bright red Glads that I move around for effect and they are 2-3 years old. Out of nowhere this purple gem pops out in the middle of the red. No idea how it could happen, but there it was!

Exposed in early morning with a backlight to shine through the petals and a small led main light off to the side to create shadow and depth.

This dragonfly was resting on a rogue Morning Glory vine bobbing up and down with the wind. Hard to see, but there is a little bug on the Zinnia that photo-bombed me.
