Have a lovely Thursday everyone Camellia taken in Golders Hill Park.

Escapism it certainly can be. But that is not all. It does not necessarily mean to look the other way. Celebrating beauty and life, and the preservation of both, can also be an act of resistance, of not giving in to the rationality of industrialised death. Not shouting "hurrah", but taking care of life can be an expression of one's alternative approach. Beauty can be subversive, just like the dream of paradise can. Just think when you make your camera see beauty. Leica M Mono, Leitz Elmar 4/135 at F 5.6.

A real gerbera this time (as opposed to the not-so-real capture a few months ago!)

Prior to the Sunday-afternoon barbecue, I snatched a few moments experimenting with depth-of-field, before lighting up some charcoal and briquettes! Along with this capture, I must have snapped 30-40 shots before finally getting the depth I wanted.

Have a good week ahead, everyone!

Hi guys, I'll be back to comment!

She is always saying a cheerful Hi to you

She goes straight into your heart

And stays there for the rest of the day

She left you this awe feeling

A glowing feeling

Deep inside

Did you miss it, you say

You hadn't the time to breathe her in

Well

I caught her for you

I caught her beauty

I caught her for eternity

Now she will stay in your heart forever

She is a kind of addiction

Like you and me
