A see-through wall constructed from glass winebottles. I am inside a function room looking through the wall into the corridor beyond which has floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
While walking around the Tennessee State Museum, I spotted these lockers and photographed them with the hope of creating an appealing "abstract" based on an unusual perspective/POV.
This is a great approach to designing a bedroom. It's welcoming, simple and has ample circulation space. It's very cozy with a theme that's cool and calming, which is perfect for relaxing and a good night's sleep. The two floor-to-ceiling windows bring in so much life and freshness from the natural lighting. The wooden paneling on the walls were well designed. The accent blue duvet and the side table lamps stand out beautifully || check out more
Conceived by Louis IX as his personal chapel. Consecrated in 1248. Fifteen floor-to-ceiling wall-to-wall stained glass windows (oldest in the city) depicting the biblical story from Genesis to the Resurrection. Reached via a spiral staircase from the lower chapel (built for the king's staff). Beyond beautiful. At its pinnacle when the sun is shining, 'tis said. Still, even on an overcast day, as it was when I was there, awe-inspiring.
The chapel's stained-glass is under restoration. The work-scaffolding erected on one side of the interior was behind hoarding, which can be seen as backdrop in the candid capture below, a young girl's response to the stained-glass windows.

royal chapel, as seen from the upper exterior stone balcony.... ascension from the lower chapel, built for Louis IX's staff, via a spiral staircase.
Tucked away inside the confines of modern day France's highest courts, the royal chapel known as Sainte Chapelle is a marvel of stained glass from floor to ceiling. The books of the Bible are depicted in the various panels, starting with the Old Testament.
This was Saturday. No decent pic of me at the bookstore, so decided to post this boy's instead. He put up with me going through everything in that amazing bookstore.
I grew nostalgic for my college radio days and dug up a couple pictures of my old station, KUMM FM. This is from 1996, when the new, fancy cd cabinets were put in. This is late one night when all the exec staff members (Mike Anderson, station manager on the left, Ben Leonard, music director on the right, and DJ Emily Clark [who I don't really remember, but her name was on the back of the print]) had to empty the cabinets in studio A into studio B. Here we built our own little Tower of Babble. That is a small fraction of the total collection. Ah, good times... good times. This is a scan from a print.

The canopy above the altar can be seen in this view. The stained-glass windows go all the way around the entire building.
We have added new floor to ceiling windows in the conference room / chapel area - work continues on completing the ceiling
This client was looking for a change in her entertainment center. The old one, although custom, seemed small for the 10' ceilings, and lacked the character you would expect of a custom built-in.
I drew to scale the design, indicating inset lighting, mirrors along the back to keep the cabinet from feeling too heavy, and added a pull-out drawer for media storage.
The final outcome was stunning! Going floor-to-ceiling gave a grandeur to the room that it was lacking, and the mirrors added that high-end touch. Halogen lighting on a dimmer enables ambient or task lighting.
My carpenters and painters did a fantastic job of incorporating the moulding and glazing so it was a seamless fit with the fluted columns leading into the dining room (not shown.) The maple wood grain had an inherent texture and richness.
The client and her husband were thrilled with the result, which is the overall goal!

It's a lamp, shelving, planter and I think that it used to do the dishes and laundry but that option wasn't included in this picture.

This magnificent aquarium forms the wall inside a private home. It was very hard to get a shot with the reflections from other windows in the home, plus everyone having a look at the time. The filtration plant and feeding room behind this is huge..a lot of work to keep something like this working properly.
So Hollywood Regency I could cry. My bedroom is Hollywood Regency but in it's early stages of implementation. This would put me LIGHT YEARS ahead.
