See previous photo. A female black-chinned hummingbird does a back-flip to get distance from the Yellow jacket crawling on her chest.
Despite being tightly strapped down to the ground, this small aircraft didn't fare nearly as well as the seagulls during the storm! I think it was a total loss and I saw it being disassembled today.
...not perfectly focussed but I like the motive very well. After that shot my accu was empty :-(. Hope you like it anyway! Comments and favs are very appreciated.
Great Blue Herons routinely flip their fish prey to position it head-first for the trip down the gullet.

Sorry to be a flower bore but the day I took the one from under the flowers (uploaded a few weeks ago) I took this too. I really like the metallic look to the petals and have been itching to put it up, but I didn't want to O.D you on flowers, so my humble apologies to you all.
