Das Flatiron Gebäude gehört zu meinen liebsten Häusern. Die einzigartige Fassade und Bauweise sind schon etwas ganz Besonderes für mich. Wenn ich auch nicht erklären kann warum.

The Flatiron Building is one of my favorite houses. The unique façade and design are something very special for me. Though I can not explain why.

Our famous Boulder Flatirons shot while visiting Chautauqua Park. We were lucky there was a lull in our wind and the temps were very mild. These rocks were named after the old flat iron, irons that lady's (or men) would use to do their

laundry with.

I'm not for sure what the purpose of the fence was but I think it's there to remind people to stay on the trails.

The so called "Flatiron Building" was built 1902 (!), with 22 floors, 86.9 m. It's situated at the corner Broadway / 5th Avenue. - scanned slide, Minolta X700

One of my favourite buildings in the world. I was very disappointed this time round as I didn't realise it was being renovated and had scaffolding. Still a great sight which matches so well in its neighbourhood.
