Nearly bbq'd new lens!

Took this set of pictures over a gasoline powered fireplace. Not only was it odorless but the gentle flame was the perfect match to a cold winter night.

Time for some colour.....

I've noticed lately I'm turning to B&W more and more so thought I'd celebrate the rare sunshine with a bit of colour

This is a long exposure of a candle flame that had air blown on it.

ok, naff title. Our house doesn't have an open fire; the chimney was blocked up by the previous owners, so Mrs WS and I sit around in the evenings and watch the flickering flames of a small candle instead!

every year in the Easter's Evening people living in the Romanian country region light fires to scare the evil spirits .it's a tradition kept by centuries and passed from generation to generation....it's a belif that wicked spirits of the dead escape as the gates of Heaven are opend during the whole Easter week, and they come to torture the living , they take the fortune of people, and they smugle their faces. In order to avoid this villagers still light the fire ...for the smoke to keep them away.

Staring into a campfire... flames make for a very captivating subject with a life of their own.

Spotted in the parking lot of the Tahoe Biltmore casino. Apparently

the owner saw me shoot this photo from his room at the hotel nearby; I

heard a voice bellow, "that is fuckin' CHOICE, right?!"

I kept walking.
