every year in the Easter's Evening people living in the Romanian country region light fires to scare the evil spirits .it's a tradition kept by centuries and passed from generation to generation....it's a belif that wicked spirits of the dead escape as the gates of Heaven are opend during the whole Easter week, and they come to torture the living , they take the fortune of people, and they smugle their faces. In order to avoid this villagers still light the fire ...for the smoke to keep them away.
