Giochi di luci e fiamme e in un catino il calore prende vita e forme mutevoli...

flame-colored tanager (Piranga bidentata)

quitrique de espalda rayada (Piranga bidentata)

It was dark, but I didn't want any weird affects with the fire, so I stuck with 800 ISO. The aperture is 5.6 instead of a lower number because I was zoomed in, not wanting to be closer to the fire. To catch the wispiness of the flames, I made the shutter speed faster, but to where it would still look flowy. I raised the vibrancy of the flames and the global clarity. I also decreased the exposure of the surroundings. I got "a warm feeling" from the thought of my mom cooking steaks on the grill.

sort of blurry but its still awesome....

I took this a while ago when I was first playing around with my new macro lens. It's from a zippo lighter.

I'm riding in your car

you turn on the radio

You're pulling me close

I just say no

I say I don't like it

But you know I'm a liar

Cause when we kiss

Ooooh fire

Romeo and Juliet

Samson and Delilah

Baby you can bet

A love they couldn't deny

My words say split

But my words they lie

Cause when we kiss

Ooooooh fire

Kisses like fire

Burn me up with fire

I like what you're doing now

Fire

Touchin me burnin me with FIRE

I'll be away for the weekend (going to a concert of the band "Wise Guys" in Duesseldorf tomorrow night together with my mum) and leave you this light, so that it may warm you and enlighten you. :-)

Information on the band: The "Wise Guys" are 5 a-capella singers from Cologne with great texts mostly funny, but also thought-provoking or romantic. You can hear them here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqFcjwI7P-Q and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5xZoHuJ58Y (sorry, only in German language).

They also did a version of "Mad World": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GVPX6uB570

all we could do last night was watch the fire from a distance.

create an amazing flame from your body spray...

This one is in the front yard and next to the house..

How close can i get before i get burned!!!!!

Taken with Fujifilm s4000 bridge camera

Look at these candles! When I stare at the blue part of the flame, I can feel the warmth, I can almost see the flame moving.

I hope you could feel the warmth, and see the light even when you are in the dark like the pair of candles.

I love the glow of a candle

Oh how I have missed my macro lens. Expect a whole lot of around the house shots over the next few days.
