We think it is a nuisance to have to go into the village to collect our post, which is normally window adverts or junk mail. I cannot image this being a problem of any sort in the poorest third world countries, where they may not be able to read or write, have the stationery, means or money to write or receive post! Where to put letters would be no problem at all.
