First Thursday event at Sheffield's HUBS (formerly the National Centre for Popular Music):
"February’s First Thursday, in association with Sheffield Chamber’s BME Forum, is an exciting, extended celebration showcasing some of South Yorkshire’s best creative and cultural businesses and talent from the black and minority ethnic (BME) community and beneficiaries from The Equal Last Mile Development Partnership: South Yorkshire.
The aim of the evening is to promote diversity and networking between the BME business community and the South Yorkshire-wide Creative and Digital Industries sector. Multiple studies have proven that regions which positively embrace cultural diversity and the market opportunities it creates perform better than areas which ignore its potential.
The event will include presentations, musical entertainment and networking, a multi-cultural buffet, stalls from funders and business advisers and a black hair and beauty fashion show in the heart of Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter."

Recently, I've been thinking about how photography captures any moment, no matter how mundane, normal, or forgettable and saves it forever. It's not profound, just kinda cool.
First Thursday of the month in Seattle and entrance is free. It was a sunny day and many people grabbed the opportunity to enjoy the exhibitions.
