Look at around 4 o'clock, you can see a tiny star just to the right of the Full Cold Moon. Didn't see that when I snapped this photo. Unfortunately there was a very high haze in the sky which obscured the moon somewhat, but this is what I got. My first and last Super Moon photo for 2017.

There are quite a few 'first and last' signs near Land's End in Cornwall.
There is a 'first and last' church, a post office, a petrol station, a fish and chip shop and probably a good few more that I haven't noticed. However, this small establishment, located at a place called Dr Syntax's Head at Land's End, really is a 'first and last'. The sign proclaims it to be the ‘First and Last Gift Shop and Refreshment House in England’.
As for the intriguing name, I believe there used to be a large granite boulder nearby that bore a resemblance to the head of a popular 19th century caricature called Dr Syntax.
Top of the British mainland, John O’Groats, on the north Scottish coast.
John O'Groats is a village in the Canisby parish of Caithness, in the far north of Scotland. John O'Groats lies on Britain's northeastern tip, and is popular with tourists as one end of the longest distance between two inhabited British points on the mainland, with Land's End in Cornwall lying 876 miles (1,410 km) to the southwest. It is not quite the most northerly point on the island of Britain; nearby Dunnet Head is further north.
The Longships from Lands End.
The Longships is the name of the the group of rocks or islets off Lands End. The lighthouse also bears that name.
The lighthouse stands on Carn Bras the highest of the Longship Islets. It was built in 1869, replacing the earlier 1795 one.
I've been down to Lands End a few times and always on days when the sun has been shining and the sea relatively calm. I must admit, I would like to see it when the Atlantic is having a tantrum and giving grief to the granite rocks below. The lighthouse in this view is the Longships Lighthouse, about a mile offshore. Wolf Rock Lighthouse lies to the south of Longships and out beyond the Scilly Isles, the UK's truly last outpost, Bishop Rock Lighthouse.
The First & Last Inn is one of the most famous inns in Cornwall, not only due to its location in the village of Sennen, the most westerly village in the country, but because of its notorious reputation going back around 500 years, of being the headquarters of smugglers and wreckers.
The inn is thought to have been built about seven centuries ago. Smuggling was at its peak at the beginning of the 1800s. Brandy, silk and tea were among the goods brought in from France. In the inn is a glass covered well known as Annie's Well, which is thought to have been one of the secret tunnels and passages which were dug by the smugglers to evade capture. The name Annie's Well comes from Annie George who along with her husband Joseph ran the inn around this time. It is said that they managed to blackmail the landlord, Dionysius Williams, a wealthy farmer, into letting them live there rent-free, due to their knowledge of his smuggling business. Williams eventually decided to remove the couple from the inn. This infuriated Annie, who then turned King's evidence against Williams who was sentanced to a long term of imprisonment. Annie did not stop there, she turned on other villagers including Joseph's brother, John George after a row over a tobacco deal. He is said to have been convicted and hanged for this. The villagers eventually took their revenge on Annie for turning against them by staking her out on the beach at low tide, and as the water rose and the fishing nets they had pinned over her held her down she drew her last breath. It is said that her body was laid to rest in her bedroom before she was buried in an unmarked grave in the cemetery next to the pub. She still has her own room at the Inn and she doesn't like anyone else to sleep in it as has been made clear over the years with new landlords and their pets. Stories of dreams of drowning and being covered in fishing nets are common with people who have stayed in her room, and cats have been found shut in wardrobes and drawers. Some cliam to have seen a lady on the landing, others have felt something touch their hair or felt a sudden chill.

A visit to the depot of Thomas (First & Last Coaches), Sennen Cove in July 2018 found this Volvo B12M with Berkhof Axial 50 bodywork.
DC03 EYC was new as East Yorkshire Motor Services, 50 in June 2003 and arrived here via Highland Council in October 2016.
It had also carried the 787 EYC and XKH 455 plates with EYMS.
It subsequently passed to new local operator, Jenkin (Kernowek Coaches), St Buryan since then.

synopse short:
CYLINDR znovu navštěvuje a nahrazuje okamžiky - poprvé a naposled.
synopse long:
CYLINDR je přitahován k známému místu, a zdá se, k novým vzpomínkám. Prosévání artefaktů minulých životů je klíčem k filmu. "Možná?" že CYLINDR čaruje?
Inspirováno klasickou pohádkou "Jack and the Beanstalk", Friedrichem Nietzsche, a filmem od Super 8 Filmmakers Challenge (Kanada) s názvem "PRVNÍ A POSLEDNÍ" vykreslující opuštěné okamžiky které začínají koncem.

synopse short
TOPHAT revisits and replaces moments - for the first and last time.
synopse long
TOPHAT is drawn towards a familiar place, or so it seems, and ponders about new memories. Sifting through artifacts from former lives remains a roll of film. "Perhaps?" TOPHAT wonders.
Inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk, Friedrich Nietzsche, and the Super 8 Filmmakers Challenge (Canada) "PRVNÍ A POSLEDNÍ" portrays a derelict moment in time that begins with an ending.
