A long exposure photo at Firkin Point Loch Lomond again... these roots or branches from an old tree were lying part in the water, so with a slight breeze creatinf ripples in the water, out came the ND10....
As the sun was almost directly behind this tree at Firkin Point, Loch Lomond, I thought an HDR image would work.... but the ripples in the water came out weird, so stuck with a single under exposed image and edited similar to the last photo....
The lone tree can be found at Firkin Point on the western shore of Loch Lomond just to the north of the village of Invergeg Scotland. Firkin Point was once part of the main road heading north from Dumbarton to Tarbert, but is now bypassed with the upgraded A82, it is a nice place to visit and walk along the old road taking in some interesting views of Ben Lomond across the loch.
The lone tree at Firkin Point on Loch Lomond is a great find. The afternoon was grey and misty but this tree has a magic all of its own.
Meet Firkin, the newest member of the family and at only 9 to 10 months old she is still very much a kitten constantly hurtling around the house and exploring every corner. Firkin was an SSPCA rescue cat and I can't praise their excellent work enough!

4 months older now (see previous posts), much more approachable and into brief cuddles especially in "the chair of adoration," her favorite chair to be stroked in! However, the biggest change has been her increase in weight, she now really lives up to her name!

What would the world be, once bereft
Of wet and of wildness? Let them be left,
O let them be left, wildness and wet;
Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet.
~ Gerald Manley Hopkins
Taken from a well known picnic/view point on Loch Lomonds western shore and looking north towards the Scottish Highlands.
