After waiting 9 hours at the train station for the Celebrate America fireworks, I have to say it was worth it!

I'll be the first to admit that I'm NOT a fireworks photographer. BUT, being in Disney and constantly being around some of the best displays I've ever seen, I figured I'd adapt and give my go at capturing them!
This shot was at Epcot standing atop the restaurant at the Japan pavilion. I stole a page from Cory Disbrow's book and used this location as my "introductory trial" into Illuminations Of Earth fireworks.
All in all, I think it turned out good! I'm personally a fan of how each country's (that's pictured) shell is exploding towards the center of the lagoon, while the fireworks in the center are aimed upwards as if there's a dancing display of light and fire.
How'd I do?
Two exposures blended with luminosity masks in Photoshop.

I became inspired, after joining joining Flickr and reading other Disney photography blogs, to try shooting the fireworks shows on a recent trip to the world. My results weren't perfect, but it was a lot of fun. This picture is cropped because I blew the large bursts above the castle. I still love the colors. Happy Fireworks Friday everyone!
Final shot taken with the canon 16-35ii. An unusual spot to watch the show from. Unless your dying for a foreground element I wouldn't recommend this location.
