It is basically a failed firework shot, but I find it rather interesting to look it as something else. In my imagination, the formation of the firework in this photo does look like a glowing sparkling tree to me.
My first attempt at shooting fireworks.
The biggest problem is framing the shot, because some explosions are high and some are near the ground but there's not enough time for re-framing or even changing your ultratelefoto lens for something wider. :(
End of the Edinburgh festival. Not sure if that's camera shake or the length of the exposure. A wee bit of both probably.
