For the first time, at the end of last month, I tried to take pictures of fireworks. Here are the results (there are maybe 20 pictures which looks quite nice over 100, I will upload them little by little).
Fireworks have been one of the most interesting and one of the most frustating things to shoot so far. It was during an firework big meeting (花火大会) in Gifu, and each firework maker of the region had came with his bombs as a demonstration of his "savoir-faire", and was shooting the same type of firework twice or thrice in a row before his show really begins. So I could look at the trajectory of the first one, counting the seconds between its launch time, the explosion time and its spread, then adjust in a few seconds the settings of the camera, and try to capture the 2nd one.
Frustrating too because though I enjoyed taking the pictures, I almost didn't relax to enjoy the show... except when I became short on film. ^^
