When the weather outside is frightful, there is nothing more comforting than curing up beside a fireplace...

6WS - and it is cold and damp today. I could use this fire and the friends that sat in the room with it to keep me warm.

warm around the campfire the evening before the silent night.

One of the good things when it gets colder

A cold winter day in Melbourne calls for lighting my fireplace and relaxing in its glow.

My home-made fireplace in my garden .... before I got thrown out on to the street by a vicious and thoroughly nasty relative - on 07/04/08 so this is no more. My friends and myself used to love to sit around it well into the night, talking and singing and having a wee drink of something. We used to cook stuff as well - it was lovely!!! Note the section of a locomotive fire bar found by the railway track! Happy days!

Finally one photoshop started to work but it is a mess for me.

I am sure all will come out well.

Happy week end all.

Picture of the fire in the fire place my son took with a Canon A800 tonight. Little photog developing.

Special thanks to the ever lovely, graceful, and gorgeous Brianna for letting me steal her for a shot. This one required a bit more reworking than usual, and I really enjoyed the challenge! And if you ever want to find this gorgeous little snack of a faun, you can find Meira at Origins of Sin, Aegis Island!

Thanks again, Bri! <3

Had a great time playing with my camera on manual to get this shot. Shame about the light under the fireplace that cast shadows on the face.

My greatest pleasure at the moment!

It was a long battle to convince the family that a real fire would be worth the hard work...what hard work?!

A fireplace in England large enough for two benches so you can sit inside the fireplace. You don't see that everyday.
