Firenze è tra le città più belle e ricche di storia e arte del mondo.
Considerata la culla del Rinascimento, Firenze è tra le città più ricche di storia e opere d’arte, tanto da essere stata dichiarata nel lontano 1982 Patrimonio dell’Umanità dall’UNESCO. Le chiese, il Duomo, gli Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria, ogni angolo di questa città trasuda cultura.
È impossibile non innamorarsi di Firenze, chiunque abbia avuto la fortuna di viverci o di trascorrervi un periodo di ferie, ne è rimasto rapito e affascinato.

Un simbolo eterno di Firenze - Costruito vicino ad un attraversamento di epoca romana, il Ponte Vecchio fu fino al 1218 l'unico ponte che attraversava l' Arno a Firenze. Il ponte, come lo si vede attualmente, fu costruto nel 1345 dopo che una violenta alluvione aveva distrutto il precedente. Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale le truppe tedesche distrussero tutti i ponti di Firenze, eccetto questo. Tuttavia bloccarono l'accesso al ponte distruggendo le due costruzioni medievali ai suoi lati. Il 4 Novembre 1966 il Ponte Vecchio sopportò miracolosamente l' enorme ondata di acqua dell' Arno in piena, che ruppe i propri argini causando l' alluvione di Firenze. Commissionato dai Medici, permetteva loro di spostarsi da Palazzo Vecchio a Palazzo Pitti senza dover attraversare le strade di Firenze, in tutta sicurezza. Al tempo della costruzione del Corridoio, sul Ponte Vecchio erano riunite le botteghe dei macellai, che probabilmente con la loro attività disturbavano il passaggio dei Medici, che nel 1593 le fecero spostare, sostituendole con le più "decorose" botteghe orafe.

An eternal symbol of Florence - Built near a Roman crossing, the Ponte Vecchio was until 1218 the only bridge that crossed the Arno in Florence. The bridge, as we see it today, was built in 1345 after a violent flood had destroyed the previous one. During the Second World War the German troops destroyed all the bridges of Florence, except this one. However, they blocked access to the bridge by destroying the two medieval buildings on its sides. On 4 November 1966 the Ponte Vecchio miraculously endured the huge wave of water of the Arno in flood, which broke its banks causing the flood of Florence. Commissioned by the Medici, it allowed them to move from Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti without having to safely cross the streets of Florence. At the time of the construction of the Corridor, the butchers' shops were gathered on the Ponte Vecchio, which probably with their activity disturbed the passage of the Medici, who in 1593 made them move, replacing them with the more "decorous" goldsmith shops.
