Looking like its always been there, my greenhouse sits in all its lush glory!
This shot was taken the morning after the day we built it! Apart from all the surplus bricks to the front of the greenhouse which still need dumping, Trev and i are really pleased with efforts.
My plants are now in and loving the light, warmth and shelter they deserve :-))
Trevs now threatening to take it down as its not stopped raining since we built it! LOL !
These lovely blue flowers, once finished, make wonderful capsules. Nigella sativa - Love-in-a-mist. From my neighbours garden. I believe though they might be poisonous!
...the trip home on the train, and Battersea seems finished...but there are shades of opinion about wether that's a good thing
With its work at Otto finished and the northbound Saluki into Kankakee, CN A408 departs for Champaign passing the small depot in Chebanse, Illinois.
I was determined to have a beautiful wildflower meadow this year. I planted the seeds but when they tried to come up, they were completely smothered by love-in-a-mist, grown there last year, which took over the plot in an unrestrained fashion. Perhaps my wildflowers might still have a chance once delightful but dominating nigella has finished flowering.
While we were in Chiang Mai we took the opportunity to look around some of the craft villages that the city is famous for. The best place that we went to look at was this place where they still make traditional unmbrellas both for shade and rain.

Today I was in a closed steel mill. Steel was still produced there until 1985.
Today it is a museum, the Landscape Park Duisburg-Nord.
Very interesting.

Heute ist es ein Museum, der Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord.
Sehr interessant.
Commissioned planter-boxes with integrated seating awaiting the truck to be taken away and installed at MONA, Hobart.
Fabricated of Core 10 steel by Tasmanian blacksmith, Pete Matilla, the seats are furnished with Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculata), that has been charred with the oxy torch, wire-brushed and waxed.
The steel has been sandblasted, allowed to rust for several days before being torched and waxed as well.
Was a real joy being involved with the project.

After my earlier posting of the knitting scene , as requested by some , here is a shot of the finished article .
To be more precise it is a " Polar Infinity Scarf " , as such there is no end and it is worn doubled round .
Time to move on. This was actually taken at the end of August when the skies were just amazing. We've been seeing fabulous sunsets since Ike too. Looks like Fall is beginning to take a foothold and tomorrow is actually the first day of Fall.
This is probably going to be my last chance to comment to any extent since we don't have the interent available yet. I'll sneak a peak at work and you'll see an occasional photo and comment. Have a great week - and hopefully I'll be joining you this week on flickr again.
I finally decided to use a cotton hand-towel as the border. My partner loves embroidery so I added a little "dream" and swarovski crystals to it for some a little zing.

Dear Partner,
Your mini is finished! I added some hand quilting, I hope you like it! Now all I have to do is work on some extras! If this isn't quite your thing let me know quickly, I still have time to whip something else up if I need to!

My DQS quilts are finished and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a spart (or perhaps another spart...) from my partner.
I had to cover the up the right hand quilt because it's a dead giveaway. I have substituted with a piece of fabric with the lady saying "I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and my fabrics. I will miss him though."
Natsume finished unpacking today while her twin is having a great time with Nicolas.
We surely miss her but we know she is in good hands ^_^

Natsume terminó de desempacar hoy mientras su hermana gemela se lo pasa en grande con Nicolas.
La echamos de menos pero sabemos que esta en buenas manos ^_^
the painting was made by being inspired by a Danish painter Per Kirkeby and his abstract paintings.....a friend of mine was inspired by his paintings and that made me go ahead and paint by this inspiration too.....and he is a painter i really appreciate much...
