No. 1 Squadron was initially based at Vassincourt and the French air force used it as well. This Curtiss Hawk H-75 may have been the the culprit that chewed up Hurricane L1842's tail to the consternation of 'Taffy' Clowes who was flying it at the time.

Well what a fantastic day it was truly epic to see the presidential air unit depart for Lossiemouth I do like the C32 with making role carrying the second in command it normally flys under ( Air force 2 ) but it flew under the SAM callsign
