I love the front end on this car. Talk about character. The Coronet was marketed by Dodge as a full-size car in the 1950s, initially the division's highest trim line but, starting in 1955, the lowest trim line. This is a fourth generation coronet 1957-1959.
For all you petrol heads Wiki info below:-
The 1957 model year debuted a new D-501, which replaced the D-500 from the year before as the top Coronet. The D-501 received Chrysler's proven 354 cu in (5.8 L) Hemi V8, which were actually left over engines from the 1956 Chrysler 300B production. Camshafts from the 1957 Chrysler 392 cid engines were installed in the 354 V8s. A pair of Carter four barrel carburettors fed the 10.0:1 compression ratio to produce 340 bhp (250 kW). Other changes included the addition of the Torsion-Aire Ride (torsion bar) front suspension[1] and a heavy duty suspension with heavy duty shock absorbers and a heavy duty leaf sprung rear. A 3.73:1 rear axle was standard with the three-speed manual transmission, but automatic cars received a 3.18:1 rear axle. There were 13 optional rear axles available, ranging from 2.92:1 through 6.17:1. The D-501 received 7.60x15 tires on 15x8 inch wheels. Brakes were 12-inch (300 mm) diameter drums. Only 101 D-501s were produced. A padded dash was optional.
The 1958 and 1959 Coronet, Royal, and Custom Royal used a DeSoto Fireflite chassis but had less ornate trim. Power came from the 230 cu in (3.8 L) "Getaway" L-head straight-6 or the 325 cu in (5.3 L) "Red Ram" V8. In 1959 a Silver Challenger model was also offered on the Coronet line. This was a six-cylinder or V-8 model available only in silver paint and only on a two-door body. It came with many extra features at no cost, such as wall-to-wall deep pile carpeting, premium white wall tires and wheel covers, luxury fabrics and upgraded interior and electric windshield wipers. The overall length was increased to 217.4 inches.

I climbed the hill again...just in time to see the sun disappearing over the hill. I was so annoyed. But the climb was worth it, even though it isn't really that high up, it feels like its the top of the world, you can barely see any houses and the sky just goes on and on, and it's almost like if you jumped, you would be able to touch the clouds.

Day 59 of 365
59 Days in and two months done! Only 10 more to go (shudder). Actually, not so bad. I'm looking forward to the next 10. I've got a long list of ideas not to mention the spur of the moment inspired shots like yesterday's which came to me that very day. I knew I needed a side lit photo for "Take A Class With Dave and Dave" and I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I had done the Yellow Roses but wasn't sure that was the shot I wanted to use. I got an invite to a group that uses an obnoxious (as in overwhelmingly large) sword gif as an icon yesterday and that single "event" inspired the shot from yesterday, just as a comment on one of Boheme333's pics inspired the set of three surreal self portraits I did a few weeks ago. So all in all I think I am pretty prepared for the next 10 months.
The first week in April should be interesting because I will be visiting thecarneys23 in Vegas for a week and in September I will be at Dragon*con and somewhere in there we are hoping to manage a trip to Disney and another trip (looking more like a weekend jaunt now) to Sandusky, Ohio to go to the theme park there.
The only problem I seem to be having is that I have a lot of ideas that I really can't put into play until the weather gets better and the days longer. All in good time :-D
I've miss shooting jezter thats why i convinced him to pose for my day 159

i risked an attack by geese to take this picture.
basically me and my sister were out next to the pond a couple blocks away from our house, minding our own business. out of nowhere this massive goose swims all the way from one side of the pond to the other and starts climbing up towards us, quacking aggressively. obviously he's the head goose, because all the other geese and ducks start following him, joining in his evil quacking chorus.
my sister made a run for it. i had to grab my guitar case and follow.
obviously, though, we survived. =]

Day 359 of 365
Week 49, Assignment 3 for Take A Class With Dave and Dave.
Widescreen - Create an image fit for the theater (or your new HDTV). All images must be WIDE. At a minimum, they must have a 1.78:1 aspect ratio (that's HDTV-style), but you can go as wide as 2.35:1 (a common movie format).
I really wasn't sure what I was going to do for this one. I shot about 100 different poses and concepts, but I didn't like a single one. Most of my shots are either done at 8X10 or 10X10. I did like some of my concepts, but implementing them in the cold or with limited indoor space, especially during the Christmas week, proved difficult. I plan on working them out when the weather is better and family obligations aren't so pressing.
The "black box" is at the correct ratio and to keep the ratio constant the overall ratio is also correct.
So this chair is apparently haunted. I don't really understand why,but it's definitely pretty creepy at times.

It was a long month for being a short month. Ironic, isn't it. Some days seemed endless yet not long enough. Its been a struggle but I've made it through. February is in the bag and now its time for a new month. I'm looking forward to the weeks ahead. It should be a great month.
