Esta semana estoy un poco liado, bueno que coñ.. estoy de fiestaaaaa y no puedo pasar mucho por aqui.
Olite. Navarra. Spain. Europe
Esta fiesta de Interés Turístico Nacional se celebra el segundo fin de semana de Agosto y pretende recuperar durante unos días el esplendor que tuvo Olite durante el reinado de Carlos III. Para ello, Olite viaja al pasado cada año, con el fin de rememorar diferentes acontecimientos históricos de la villa y corte. El escenario de tan bella fiesta es el Palacio Real de Olite y las calles del casco antiguo.
Su origen es del año 1994 cuando se conmemoró el 555 aniversario de las bodas de Carlos, Príncipe de Viana y princesa borgoñona Agnes de Clèves, el 30 de septiembre de 1439. Esta representación se realizó en Olite y también en Clèves. Esta iniciativa surge de la idea compartida entre la Asociación Cultural el Chapitel y el Ayuntamiento de Olite de recrear ese pasado histórico que tanto favoreció a Olite y que contribuyó de manera decisiva a hacer de esta ciudad lo que ha sido y es actualmente.
Olite fue pionera en la organización de torneos y cenas medievales populares que supusieron un atractivo único en Navarra.

Con este colage construido con escenas de la actuación de nuestro colega El Yuyu, en el Teatro Falla de Cádiz, tomadas de la transmisión de la TV Andaluza, Canal Sur, hago un pequeño homenaje a los carnavaleros de pro y felicito a El Yuyu y su chirigota por tan brillante actuación.

LE CHÂTEAU FORT DE MONTBRUN
↔ LE CHÂTEAU DE MONTBRUN, sur la commune de DOURNAZAC, dépendait au Moyen-Âge du comté de Poitou.
↔ Il est placé sur la rive d’une petite rivière, le DOURNAUJOU, à proximité du Grand Puyconnieux, un des points culminants des “ Monts de Châlus”.
↔ Il a été créé à la fin du XIIème siècle par AYMERIC BRUN qui a fondé aussi, en 1180, à quelques kilomètres, le prieuré de Thavaud.
↔ Le château fut incendié et ruiné en 1385 et reconstruit au XVème sous sa forme actuelle par PIERRE de MONTBRUN, évêque de Limoges.
↔ Très endommagé, en particulier par l’incendie de 1917, il a conservé quatre grosses tours dont l’une englobe le “ Grand Jacques ”, superbe donjon quadrangulaire, l’un des plus beaux exemples du genre.

Parked up at a house that frequently has some classic Fords of some sort on the driveway, and today it was this Fiesta, finished in a very 70's two tone paint job, which I like very much! Currently taxed until the 1st of May 2023 but has been without MOT since the 30th of October 2019, although it does not need to have one as it is over 40 years old and classed as a historic vehicle. It had 35,007 miles at its last MOT in 2018 although that would have risen since then. Last logbook change was on the 10th of August 2020.
Bangus (Milkfish) festival is held every year in Dagupan city, Pangasinan. The parade of street dancers in colourful garments signals the beginning of the week long celebration. Four-lane main streets are closed to traffic during the parade, which can lasts for hours due to the large number of participants.
These striking Cosmos blooms are so vibrant and make a bold display when planted with other bright flowers, as here in my Mother-in-law's garden.

Here's a wide view of what I call the Fiesta Chinle site in Arizona.
Under the flat mesa at right, these colors undoubtedly continue for many miles. The Chinle formation extends laterally over much of the Colorado Plateau and is found in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado. The soft Chinle mudstone often contains numerous thin layers of different colors, including red, orange, black, pink, brown, green and even blue.
