No postprocessing other than JPG conversion. Here's the postprocessed version.
Postprocessing included dodging, burning, perspective correction, cropping, cloning and Photomatix tonemapping to correct the exposure. Photomatix is a plugin that allows fine adjustments of luminance, shadow-highlight detail and microcontrast.
This is much heavier photoshopping than I usually do. It would be smarter to clean up the barnyard and can get the exposure right the first time! :)
I always remark extreme postprocessing in the tags.
These are Dexters two baby boys at about 2 weeks old. The lighter one is Fidget as he never sat still (as you can see), and the darker one is Wizzer as when he as a few days old he peed all over me. The dad was a lop

I made something else over Christmas, for my dad to give gran. The fidget bracelets were actually kind of inspired by gran, and her ability to wear more bracelets than anyone I know and indeed her inability to sit still, so the bracelets I call fidget all have kinetic elements which run around the band.
I've been wanting to do one as an infinity bracelet for a while so this was my excuse.
Sony hand-held-twilight mode seems like a good match for black and white conversion. You could fault the combination for being too stylized or Voguesqe in appearance, but it's a dramatic look, that's for sure.
The other thing going on in this image is bare LED lighting. In terms of spectrum, LED is a lot like fluorescent, but the multipoint nature of the source seems to give it a sparkle that fluorescents lack. This one was made under a single bare ceiling light with about 10 LEDs.
I'm tearing down a discarded 84-LED fixture to turn it into a portable photo light.

Fidget Feet Aerial Dance perform at Riverfest Limerick. The banks of the Shannon was the epi-centre of the first major national festival of the year as thousands attended events that celebrate the city and it's prized asset, its waterway.
Limerick was Ireland’s festival capital this weekend as hordes of thrill-seekers, culture vultures, food connoisseurs and fun runners flowed into the city to celebrate Riverfest Limerick 2019. The banks of the Shannon was the epi-centre of the first major national festival of the year as thousands attended events that celebrate the city and it's prized asset, its waterways.
Now in its 15th year, Riverfest Limerick attracts families and daredevils from all over Ireland who can enjoy everything from aerial acrobatics shows, zorbing, to zip lining across the River Shannon.

On Wednesday Night I was one of the 300 people who braved the cold weather to go see Attack of the Circus in the Black Box, or should I say the bloody Ice Box seeing as there was no heating in there either Tuesday for our dress rehearsal or for Wednesday for the show itself.
The show was worth braving the cold though. It was a wonderful night. Well done the wonderful Chantal, Jym & Lee from Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Troupe who worked so hard with the group. I'm really looking forward to seeing The Snow Queen now at the end of January. Don't forget to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. I know I'm going to. :o)
