Dead leaf.
A relapse. I have fallen. I'm back with my favourite Topaz filter, Glow.
This a picture of a dead leaf off one of my daughter's houseplants. Variety unknown. But certainly deceased though the plant lives on...
Leaves have veins; veins form linear patterns; Glow emphasises linear patterns; so should be interesting... perhaps. Thus the theory went.
Cropped to a cinematic ratio of 2.35:1 to accentuate the horizontal vein.
I'll post a link to the original as usual.
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Sliders Sunday :)

A big and little wagon lead SOGBA west at Fibre on January 22, 1998. 6650, 1753 and 3003 are rolling right along with 88 cars on a sunny winter afternoon. After shooting this guy at Rudyard from the sunny side I had to sit until the whole train went by before chasing him down for this view. I barely was able to overtake him and get in position for this shot.
Same plant, different day, different lens and a different view.

**Prompt :**

**Prompt:**
In an enchanted autumn forest bathed in warm golden late-afternoon light, a majestic squirrel mage stands at the center of an ancient glowing magic circle engraved into the forest floor. Maple leaves in fiery shades of burnt orange, deep amber, and crimson red blanket the ground and gently swirl through the air, lifted by an invisible mystical force.
The squirrel, with incredibly detailed, dense, silky red fur, wears a long burgundy velvet mage robe adorned with intricate ancient runic embroidery stitched in aged gold thread. An ivory cloak with subtle fabric texture flows dramatically behind him, animated by a supernatural breeze. Every fiber of the fabric is visible, capturing the warm sunlight filtering through towering autumn trees.
In his paw, he holds an ancient twisted wooden staff carved from dark oak, topped with a translucent azure crystal. The crystal radiates an intense cold blue glow that contrasts with the warm forest tones. A bolt of celestial lightning descends from the dramatic cloud-filled sky, striking the crystal and charging it with pure arcane energy. Subtle arcs of electricity dance across its surface, illuminating the squirrel’s focused and noble expression.
Surrounding him, small ethereal forest spirits float gently in the air — delicate translucent humanoid silhouettes emitting a soft white-blue glow. They hover between massive tree trunks with rough, hyper-detailed bark textures, enhancing the sacred and mystical atmosphere.
The glowing magic circle beneath his feet burns with incandescent golden light, composed of precisely engraved ancient glyphs and alchemical symbols. Soft volumetric light radiates upward, diffusing through a thin layer of mist hovering near the ground.
The sky in the background is cinematic and dramatic: dense sculpted clouds pierced by divine sun rays (god rays) cutting through the forest canopy. Shallow depth of field with sharp focus on the squirrel mage, subtle background blur, cinematic composition centered heroically.
Epic high-fantasy atmosphere, ultra-realistic 8K rendering, extreme photorealism, ultra-detailed textures, volumetric lighting, global illumination, warm vs cool contrast balance, cinematic color grading, high dynamic range, microscopic fur and particle detail, immersive magical ambiance, blockbuster fantasy film still.

For 121 Pictures in 2021 #35 "Fibre", broccoli is a nutritious vegetable very high in fiber (or fibre, as it is spelled elsewhere).

The Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They open to the public and display a number of historic aircraft during a week in the summer, and it's a very fun event. I don't remember what type of aircraft this was, but I seem to recall it had a 7 cylinder radial engine.

I should not be let loose with a 90mm macro lens. It leads to me sitting at my desk in the dark with a fibre optic brush!!
No Photoshop, no AI, all shot in camera.

There had been a frost earlier - so there is still some almost melted 'slush' on the seeds - fibre and water all in one meal!
Project 365, 2022 Edition: Day 249/365
This evening the collaborative group met for the first time. We're each spinning fibre and knitting a shawl from fibre we shared with each other. Many in the group (including my partner, Danny) are more experienced spinners than me, and I appreciated the opportunity to ask some questions. For this photo I played around some more with the fibres seeing how their colours interact.
Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.

For December I'll upload images to do with the festive season. This is going to be many different things...
FROM THE SERIES CIRCLES AND LIGHTS.
I am always on the look-out for visually interesting props, this is obviously a set of fibre optic lights, consists of 6 balls which I arranged in different ways to get a pleasing composition.
The light-guiding principle behind optical fibres was first demonstrated in Victorian times when the total internal reflection principle was used to illuminate streams of water in elaborate public fountains, but modern optical fibres were only developed in the beginning of the 1950's.
Now that we are back on Winter time, it is dark very early, the weather's gone bad, I've had plenty of time to think and be creative in the studio once more.
I am enjoying the burst of creativity, I wish you all a day full of light and THANX for your visit and comments, so appreciated, Magda (*_*)
