I was out before breakfast this morning taking photos in a very misty woods.

For "Macro Mondays" ; theme : "Festive Season”

Delicate see-through lampshades crafted from natural fibres, seen at a Kent Town coffee shop.

Dead leaf.

A relapse. I have fallen. I'm back with my favourite Topaz filter, Glow.

This a picture of a dead leaf off one of my daughter's houseplants. Variety unknown. But certainly deceased though the plant lives on...

Leaves have veins; veins form linear patterns; Glow emphasises linear patterns; so should be interesting... perhaps. Thus the theory went.

Cropped to a cinematic ratio of 2.35:1 to accentuate the horizontal vein.

I'll post a link to the original as usual.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Sliders Sunday :)

Started out as some packing material that was in an Amazon delivery. Loved the colours

Never easy, always messy but worth it to get those delicious shiny red jewels and all that juice. Pomegranates are rich in vitamin C, potassium, and fibre. Not forgetting the seeds contain a high number of antioxidants. The majority of that fibre is found in the white seeds. The pomegranate contains 48 percent of the recommended daily vitamin C intake. Another love of mine.

A big and little wagon lead SOGBA west at Fibre on January 22, 1998. 6650, 1753 and 3003 are rolling right along with 88 cars on a sunny winter afternoon. After shooting this guy at Rudyard from the sunny side I had to sit until the whole train went by before chasing him down for this view. I barely was able to overtake him and get in position for this shot.

For 121 Pictures in 2021 #35 "Fibre", broccoli is a nutritious vegetable very high in fiber (or fibre, as it is spelled elsewhere).

Saturday challenge - Different but the same

Photographed in the early hours of the morning, this beautiful wild Otter paused momentarily here to check me out.

A stunning animal & an absolute privilege to watch & photograph.

The light was challenging here, so this one's a little grainy, but I hope the subject makes up for it.

Light painted using blue fibre optic

Project 365, 2022 Edition: Day 249/365

This evening the collaborative group met for the first time. We're each spinning fibre and knitting a shawl from fibre we shared with each other. Many in the group (including my partner, Danny) are more experienced spinners than me, and I appreciated the opportunity to ask some questions. For this photo I played around some more with the fibres seeing how their colours interact.

Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.

FIbre extra large sun lounger, made of natural and organic materials, its design will make you feel relaxed, in peace and super comfortable, in a natural space.🍃

This collection is ideal for outdoor spaces, swimming pools, gardens, but also for inside your home.

Female Reed Bunting nibbling on reed seeds.

There had been a frost earlier - so there is still some almost melted 'slush' on the seeds - fibre and water all in one meal!

For December I'll upload images to do with the festive season. This is going to be many different things...

FROM THE SERIES CIRCLES AND LIGHTS.

I am always on the look-out for visually interesting props, this is obviously a set of fibre optic lights, consists of 6 balls which I arranged in different ways to get a pleasing composition.

The light-guiding principle behind optical fibres was first demonstrated in Victorian times when the total internal reflection principle was used to illuminate streams of water in elaborate public fountains, but modern optical fibres were only developed in the beginning of the 1950's.

Now that we are back on Winter time, it is dark very early, the weather's gone bad, I've had plenty of time to think and be creative in the studio once more.

I am enjoying the burst of creativity, I wish you all a day full of light and THANX for your visit and comments, so appreciated, Magda (*_*)

Fibre art close up. Detail of an installation in the foyer of a suburban shopping centre. Rather wonderful with all the textural detail.

A spider who's a killer with color :-)

I must try and get out to get some new photos today......

I had nothing new to post, so just took some photos indoors last night,

this is Jacks fibre optic light, some of you might remember them from the 70's, they were popular then and are still popular in some homes now ;-)

this is one of those cheap battery operated ones, still looks pretty though.

We ventured into parts of the port of Astoria, Oregon, we hadn't seen before.

That's where I discovered huge sets of neatly folded and bundled nets that were presumably awaiting the next fishing season.

With their different colors, textures, materials and patterns, these bundles are works of found art.
