Mr. Bunyan is ready to get to work at the lumber yard!
Paul Bunyan has upped his roots and now calls Kentucky his home! He previously lived outside an auto shop in Chicago where he lost his feet. He also lived at a campground in Wisconsin at some point. He is now completely restored (and re-footed) in all of his fiberglass glory and stands tall outside this lumber yard.

This is a photo of my reflection on the fiberglass hull of a fishing boat under construction that has been painted with high gloss black paint.
I first photographed this guy 17 years ago. The place was out of business then, as it is now. And the steer looks as good as ever. Here's to 17 more years of silent bovine observation.
PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.
The West Head Light marks the headland on the southern side of the western entrance to Barrington Passage. The white circular tower is 6.1 meters (20ft) tall, equipped with a fixed red light, and painted with two wide red horizontal bands.
Sometimes the random things that come rolling through your day make you just stop and smile. I saw this beautiful vintage ‘Vette as its occupants were out for a Sunday drive in Midtown Memphis.
When Marion General Hospital rebranded to Marion Health, the Garfield got a small makeover. His scrubs were changed to dark blue and his medical box was changed to Marion Health>
I noticed this strip of fiberglass that had been washed up on False Harbour Beach, and held it up to be backlit by the evening sun.
Shoji screen at a Japanese restaurant... display at the Pacific Design Center... a garage door... a bathroom window?
Take a guess. What do you think?
Avez-vous soupçonné que ce n'est qu'un mannequin de fibres de verre ? Et oui tout le monde peut se tromper :-)
Did you suspect that it is just a fiberglass model ? And yes everybody can be wrong :-)

The Tuborg bottle is an observation tower that was erected in the old Straw Square (now the Town Hall Square) in Copenhagen in connection with the Nordic Industrial, Agricultural and Art Exhibition in Copenhagen 1888. Architect was Viggo Klein.
The view tower is designed as a 26 meter high beer bottle from Tuborg and was originally equipped with Denmark's first elevator that could bring visitors to the top. The elevator has since been replaced by stairs, just as the original exterior of canvas has been replaced by fiberglass. After the exhibition it was moved to Strandvejen in Hellerup, where it still stands. In commemoration of its 100th anniversary, it briefly stood on City Hall Square in 1988.
In 2003, this was the case of the peace beer bottle, but the Special Building Vision ruled that it does not have the architectural or cultural-historical values that warrant a preservation, among other things. because there have been too many changes compared to the original bottle.
The Municipality of Gentofte regards the bottle as unconditional conservation worthy, and according to the local plan for the area, the bottle must not be demolished, rebuilt or otherwise changed without the permission of the local council.
Another find by my wife on her day trip was a Garfield the Cat statue in the gardens at the Minnetrista Center. This is the first one that I know of outside of Grant County.
