Zaniah likes to pretend she's a dog or a cat. Today we're playing fetch with a stick.

Not a technically great photo i know but tells a great story.

Luna loves chasing sticks around the garden and then bringing her trophies home. Some make it into the house, the others lay where she drops them outside the cat flap - i could make a broom! At least she's not after the birds!

New Yorkers do love their dogs!

From Mothers Day in New Hampshire.

Micah trots back to me with his catnip mouse. I like the little chirp he does when he drops it at my feet, and rubs my leg to let me know it's there. I toss it, he runs after it, brings it back, I toss it, he runs after it...

Sorry it's blurry. Even at a high ISO, I couldn't use a very fast shutter speed.

Playing limitless fetch with your dog. Sometimes tiring, but fun.

He loved chasing after his stick.

Didn't have a stick to throw but Bambi didn't seem to mind...

Mali tries to get him in deeper.

Stick here I come!

Bonnie darted towards the big tree trunk of a driftwood before she realised the enormity of it.

I wish the toy could be seen better... but I absolutely LOVE this shot.

Henry has never been much of a duck chaser when we go for our walks at the river. This changed recently (as you can see). The live flyers we had in training last week seemed to have released his inner bully.

[the bird is in focus because I was trying to take a picture of him when, from out of nowhere, Henry comes bounding in the and scatters the entire group. I think he might be on to something...it was more fun to watch them scatter and fuss than to just watch them sit there]

Our yard is small, but the alley between us & our neighbour is quite long. It's a good run to use for a game of fetch.
