Wishing you all a fabulous feeling good weekend ahead with lots of sunshine and happy smiles. Wish we could fly into the blue sky like this little origami Barn Owl. ;-))
It is from the same designer, as the model I showed you yesterday (in case you missed that, see first comment box). It is a newer model, but you can see they are related by the shape of their eyes and head.
I folded it with a selfmade two layers Unryu tissue paper, 30x30cm. Kind of experimenting in glueing paper together. This came out all right.

When I see birds in preening session so intense that they completely loose sense of their surroundings, I think to myself that it must feel so good.... perhaps like a good massage? I was fairly close to this Greater Yellowlegs and yet it was completely unaware of my presence. They are normally pretty skittish and check regularly above their head for raptors.
I know you're feeling it....the craziness that goes with the season. Concerts, pageants, rehearsals, parties, and somehow Santa is supposed to be prepared too. (I may be looking for a Christmas miracle on that last one.) It feels like everything and everyone is moving at full speed.
So with a little encouragement, I got up Saturday morning and I took some time to slow down. (NOT my forte!) I left the house shortly after 6:00 and went to Cape Spear. It was here I waited and watched the sun rise at the most easterly point in North America. -9 degrees, windy, and cold but with runny nose and all, it still felt perfect. So it is these good vibes I'm taking into the busy week ahead and sending out all the extra good feels to all those that need them!

This painting has for me an aura of feeling good and then immediately the song by Nina Simone comes to mind:
This artwork hung in the middle section and behind glass, like all paintings. If you look closely at the edge, you can still see a little bit of the background. I gave it a different colour, so that all the attention goes to the painting.
