The amazing Expo 2020 Dubai fire and water fountain that defies gravity.

The Water Feature is half the size of a football field

It somehow brings together water, light and fire – and it somehow defies gravity as the water looks like it’s running back up the fountain.

And then there are the six fire spits that light the fountain up in spectacular style.

Oh, and it is soundtracked by tunes written by the Game of Thrones composer. Which is about as cool and contemporary as you can get.

Starring 153 dancing waves of water, the musical fountain is billed as one of the iconic landmarks of the world fair.

Why Ring-necked Duck? by Dinusaur

The most striking feature that everyone most often sees on a Ring-necked Duck is the white ring on its beak and not the ring on its neck that gave its name. The cinnamon colored ring on the neck is not always visible and the sun has to shine in a particular angle to make it so. People sometime wonder why is it called Ring-necked when the ring is clearly on its beak. This photo was taken in 2014 when the entire marina was frozen solid except for one little area at the entrance of the dock which was kept ice free and the duck was actively feeding in the area.
