Warsaw's Old Town seen from the the bell tower of St. Anna's church. I was hoping for some nice clouds developing but got the evening pale blue skies instead ( just my luck ). Then, just before sundown a little bit of orange glow appeared in the skies, rescuing this shot 🌞

Malbork Castle was built in the 13th century by The Order of the Teutonic Knights of St. Mary's Hospital in Jerusalem. It is the biggest brick castle complex in Europe and according to some calculations ( no doubt disputed by others! ) - the biggest castle in the world by surface area ( 143,691 sq meters ) - www.touropia.com/largest-castles-in-the-world/

I wish I had a chance to take a photo of this magnificent structure at blue hour, with the night-time illuminations on, but in the summer months it becomes dark only at around 10pm, so it was just too much to ask of my travel companions to hang around as it took us over an hour to get there.
Toruń is one of most attractive and historic towns in Poland.
It is famous for being the birthplace ( in 1474 ) of the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus whose epochal book, De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium is universally regarded as the starting point of modern astronomy.
In 1997 the old medieval quarter of Toruń comprising the Old Town ( 1233 ), the New Town ( 1264 ) and the Teutonic Knights Castle ( mid 13th c. ) was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for having preserved almost intact its original medieval street layout. Toruń is full of Gothic monuments of architecture, all built of brick, such as the Town Hall, The Leaning Tower, numerous churches and many burgher houses around the central market square and the surrounding streets.
If you ever are in Gdańsk on the coast, I recommend driving down to Toruń - it's only 2hrs away on the motorway - the place has a great artistic atmosphere and a lively cafe scene.
The more i stared at this ceiling the more it reminded me of the famous HAL9000 computer "eye" from Kubrick's masterpiece...
Finally, 4 weeks late this year, the cherry trees in Greenwich Park are in bloom and what a great sight they are on a balmy evening like this.
After weeks of cold and greyness, spring has finally arrived in England with 3 gorgeous sunny days this week. Feels good to be out and about again!

A local spot I like to shoot in autumn. The drought has really changed it. Since the water hasn't been high enough to overflow the dam, the water is now stagnant. As a result, all types of plant life are growing in the water. In the end it's nature’s way. This is just a different type of beauty.
