Altinote are tricky to ID, chrysalis anyway, so, this is quite a rare sighting and the first report of the chrysalis of Altinote negra scotosis.

Nymphalidae, Apaturinae, Apaturini, Doxocopa laurentia cherubina, Turquoise or Cherubina Emperor, certainly the male.
Via Podocarpus, Rio Bombuscaro Road, Copalinga, Zamora, Provincia de Zamora-Chinchipe, Ecuador.
One of the larger and most beautiful of the Apaturines in South America. You almost only see the males, the females are hidden in the upper areas of the trees. Males are mostly single individuals, looking for rotten fruits, ditches, little ponds and creeks to extract minerals. The also will defend other male intruders.

This one was found at the bank of a little creek coming down from the hills and going down to the Rio Bombuscaro. Typical pose of mud puddling, together with other butterflies and probably all males.

Two years ago I published a graphic showing the favicons of places that I'd recently visited on the internet. I thought I'd take some time (a few hours actually) this afternoon to revisit and refresh that graphic. Best viewed large I suppose as they say.

The image above represents only some of the websites that I've visited in the past 2 weeks. The list does not include everywhere I've been on the internet. I've only chosen to share sites in this graphic that have favicons that pop up when you visit them. Probably about half of the sites that I visit (my own included) don't have favicons. The above graphic contains 330 different internet sites that I've visited.
Some stats on my internet activity over the course of the past 2 weeks. From May 15 until today I have visited 12,601 pages on the internet on my primary laptop computer (MacBook Pro). I have visited more pages than this because this is not my only computer. In addition to my primary MacBook Pro, I have three other PCs that I use regularly to surf the internet. I estimate that I probably load a little over 1,000 internet pages a day.
The number one site that I've visited over the past 2 weeks has been FriendFeed. The number 2 site I've visited over the past 2 weeks has been flickr. These two sites represent over half of my internet activity over the past 2 weeks.

Das Thema Lost Place ist für mich als Fotograf immer mehr in den Fokus geraten. Wir haben leider nicht so die Gegend dafür.
Ich habe mich grade so entschieden weil es bei dem Thema Lost Place darum geht , so wenig wie möglich zu verändern nicht das die Magie des Fotos verloren geht. des weiteren habe ich mich
bewusst entschieden , Störende Objekte in meinem Foto zu belassen um es wie eine Beobachtung aus sehen zu lassen ,
das macht es spannender , Ich weis natürlich nicht ob das Foto somit noch die Power hat.Ich lasse gern Raum für Interpretation . mrlinux71 viel Spaß beim schauen .

I have decided just so because it is a matter with the subject Lost Place of changing so little as possible not the magic of the photo gets lost. furthermore I have myself
consciously decided to leave annoying objects in my photo to let see it like an observation from,
this makes it more exciting, I do not show of course whether the photo therefore still the power has. I allow with pleasure space for interpretation. mrlinux71 a lot of fun look with.
