Faust.

A German legend.

Or is he real ?

Living today?

In a high office?

or waiting till his time is called?

Made a deal with the devil,

So he can have power over all.

He will play games with people,

and things to get want he wants.

There is no conscience in this man of evil,

He looks and talks so nice,

How can this be?

That is why he is so dangerous,

He shall shake your hand,

while he picks your pockets dry,

tries to send your soul to the one who gave him strength,

Stay alert,

don't far victim of this man of lies!

Fausto Melotti (1981) – PAC, Milano - Italia

..you are aware of only one unrest;

oh, never learn to know the other!

two souls, alas, are dwelling in my breast,

and one is striving to forsake its brother.

unto the world in grossly loving zest,

with clinging tendrils, one adheres;

the other rises forcibly in quest

of rarefied ancestral spheres.

if there be spirits in the air

that hold their sway between the earth and sky,

descend out of the golden vapors there

and sweep me into iridescent life.

Happy Bench Monday!

I haven't posted a bench shot or taken one. Going through my old files and found this. Taken in New Braunfels, Texas.

Thank you all for stopping by and commenting!

It was sad to hear earlier today about the passing of NYC writer SURE in Afghanistan. Known for his calligraphic style and prolific stickering, he was also a graff bombing partner of FAUST. I met him briefly when we were setting up for the Martha Cooper "Subway Art" book release party/sticker sale in Chicago last year. It was good to see some of his work in person.
