A Common Green Darner (Anax junius) male flies it's route in front of the willows at the Merced National Wildlife Refuge.
Good job this little 15 spotter had his waterproofs on. This was taken the morning after really heavy rain.

Our Quaker parrots sure did love peas, pods & all. For those that don't know Rio unfortunately escaped out of the aviary & Ginny was pining so we found a new home for her with another mate. Lots more pics of both of them in my "Furry & Feathered Friends" album.
