Hallo liebe Freunde - ich bin zurück!
Nach einer arbeitsreichen Woche und einem langen Einkehr-Wochenende, welches ich wie alljährlich mit absolutem Schweigen in einem Kloster im Harz erleben durfte, bringe ich euch zum Auftakt ein Foto mit, welches ich heute morgen zum Sonnenaufgang im Klostergarten machte. Bei diesem Licht schimmert selbst faules Obst fast wie Diamanten!
Auf geht's in die neue Woche - sonnig soll sie sein, so wie es auch die letzte war. Frohes Schaffen allerseits!
Caimans are calm. 90 percent of their lives, they are lazy in the Sun or still waiting to pounce. Crocodiles remain perfectly camouflaged, often spending hours in the water. Only the eyes and nose sticking out.
Caïmans sont calmes. 90 pour cent de leur vie, ils sont paresseux au soleil, ou encore en attente à bondir. Crocodiles restent parfaitement camouflés, souvent passer des heures dans l'eau. Seulement les yeux et le nez qui sort.
Kaimane sind die Ruhe selbst. 90 Prozent ihres Lebens liegen sie faul in der Sonne oder still auf der Lauer. Perfekt getarnt, verharren Krokodile oft stundenlang im Wasser. Nur Augen und Nase schauen heraus.

Wozu braucht man ein Stativ, wenn man aus Tischen und Stühlen eine Kameraablage bauen kann? (War zu faul nochmal zurück ins Auto zu gehen.)

Gipfelstürmer
Gemeine Feuerwanze, Feuerkäfer, Schusterkäfer (Pyrrhocoridae)
Bekämpfen sollte man sie nicht, da sie sich hauptsächlich von Honigtau der Blattläuse ernähren sowie von Planzenresten, die sie allerdings nur selten fressen.
Und dann sind sie faul, was ihnen allerdings den Status als Nutztier einbringt. Denn Feuerkäfer nutzen für ihren Nachwuchs die Gänge unter der Rinde, die andere Käfer wie der Borkenkäfer gebohrt haben. Dort fressen Feuerkäfer-Larven die Borkenkäfer-Larven.
Somit retten Feuerkäfer den Wald 😉

Ein Leopard erholt sich vom Fressen. Die erlegte Antilope liegt im Gebüsch .
Kurz vor Ende der Safari kann ich doch noch ( wie erhofft) einige Leoparden aus ein paar Meter Entfernung sehen. So nah war ich den herrlichen Tieren noch nie. Highlight !!!!

A leopard is resting after feeding. The antelope it has killed lies in the bushes.
Shortly before the end of the safari, I am able to see several leopards from a few meters away, as I had hoped. I have never been this close to these magnificent animals before. What a highlight!

Mit meiner alten Canon-Filmkamera klappen auch Photos, aber ein Teleobjektiv wäre schon von Vorteil hier.
Taken on a quite typical summer evening. Linus was longing on his outdoor scratchpost and waiting for the temperatures to finally cool down. His activity level during the day is close to zero when it's hot but he enjoys the nights although the fact that THE BIRDS sleep during the night is kind of disappointing. Mice would be more entertaining if they could fly.

It's the season for laziness and although nobody beats Cleo in this regard, even Tofu is lazier than usual. Behind him is his cardboard fortress where he tends to hide if I disturb his laziness for too long.
Hier kommen viele kleine Pilze aus einem alten,fauligen Stamm der an einer sehr schattigen Stelle im Wald sich befindet

Also schön sieht das nicht eben aus, aber aus 5 m Entfernung schon etwas beängstigend. Im Allgemeinen sind die mächtigen Echsen aber faul und wirken sanftmütig und wir sind ja auf dem Boot, das allerdings bis an den Wasserrand gleitet wo sich die Reptile am Uferrand aufhalten.
I was out and about for most of the morning for a walk in cold winter weather whereas Tofu stayed in the house where it's cozy and warm. When I returned home I found him like THIS. He only briefly opened one eye and then continued his nap.
Deutschland / Boltenhagen / Weisse Wieck
Ja, zugegebenermaßen ähneln sich die Bilder meines jährlich, kurzen Herbsturlaubes an der Ostsee. Ein Grund ist vielleicht: es ist immer wieder ein Schauspiel den Sonnenaufgang im Hafen zu erleben - man hat das so nur einmal im Jahr ! Und ein weiterer Grund, ich bin einfach zu faul um an einen anderen Ort, als wie die Seebrücke oder den Hafen, aufzusuchen.
