60011 creeps away from Peak Forest after a crew change at the wee platform on the right! Heaven forfend the train crews of today should have to access the footplate from ground level! (That's you, 'Fatbloke Dim'!) How's life at Peak Forest these days?
When I was driver training at Crewe in the late 1980s, they said we'd probably never see a semaphore! Rest of the day spent laughing!

Bit of a cheat really .... as this must have been taken by someone else ... don't know why I tried to give my 35 mm Samsung camera away ... but fortunately got it back.... thanks to one of the many nice people you meet in the great outdoors. This was taken on a 3 week round trip starting at Las Vegas which included a bit of Route 66 (Kingman to Williams), Grand Canyon, Sedona, Monument Valley, Bryce and Zion. Tried to include the North Rim of Grand Canyon ... but the Arizona Forestry Service had set it on fire and then let it get out of control... Clever ... !!! How to spoil the North Rim tourist season in one easy lesson. Wake up ... try setting fires in September when the season is nearly over!

Many thanks to the London Irish supporters club who invited us to be the charity of their annual Fat Bloke 7's Rugby tournament. It was a fantastic day and raised lots of money for 3 worthy charities.

Sent to me "anonymously". This Google big wig not only shares my interests, he also shares my clothes and appearance. Michele said it was like someone in a Halloween costume dressed up as me.
Fathers Day at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, 2008.
The most boring and wasteful £3.50 I've ever spent.
I also had my haircut that morning, not impressed with that either...
