This is the iconic scene from the 1987 film Fatal Attraction where a scorned woman (played by Glenn Close) was seeking revenge on her ex lover (played by Michael Douglas). She placed the family’s beloved pet rabbit in a pot of boiling water when he was away from the family house!!!!!
This scene was responsible for the slang term “Bunny Boiler”. Where a person acts obsessively or even dangerously towards another person with whom they were previously in a relationship.

The lonely remains of Prairie Farms stand in sharp contrast to the new Marquis ethanol plant just north of Hennepin,IL. A large part of the farm was sold to the plant,but the financial windfall was obviously not enough to make some needed improvements.The attraction of the land proved fatal to the farm it would seem....
Personally, neither brand appeals to me, I happily avoid both. And, while I was drawn to taking this photo, I really do hate it when people just leave their trash behind.

The flowers rise on moderatley long stems, and are a spectacular addition to this aquatic environment. But its the pitcher-shaped foliage that is the most "attractive" element of the plant!
Sarracenia plants attract and trap insects and other prey in their leaf pitcher, without the use of moving parts. The traps are static and are based on a combination of lures (including color, scent, and nectar) and inescapability – typically the entrances to the traps are one-way by virtue of the highly adapted features listed above.
Most species use a combination of scent, waxy deposits (to clog insect feet) and gravity to topple insect prey into their pitcher. Once inside, the insect finds the footing very slippery with a waxy surface covering the walls of the pitcher. Further down the tube, downward-pointing hairs make retreat impossible, and in the lowest region of the tube, a pool of liquid containing digestive enzymes and wetting agents quickly drowns the prey and begins digestion. The exoskeletons are usually not digested, and over the course of the summer fill up the pitcher tube. Source: Wikipedia

Foxgloves ( Digitalis ),whlle beautiful with it's trumpet like blossoms they are very poisonous.They contain naturally occuring poisons that effect the heart..These cardiac glycosides called digitoxins,produce a slowing of the heart and could potentially cause a heart attack.

This is the final shot I took with my three week old D7100 before the fatal accident occurred - the worst Friday 13th EVER!!
After this shot I decided to reposition myself slightly downstream. Once set up I moved slightly the check the composition when splash!! The tripod fell and everything landed in the stream. Camera and lens were completely written off but I now have replacements through my insurance - with an updated version of the lens.
Taken at Kinlochleven, at the bottom of Grey Mare's Tail waterfall, just a short walk from our lodgings.

The plan for today was to shoot something. Anything really. I been in a slump for a while. I haven't taken very many pictures lately. So...this was my attempt at creativity.
I was thinking of doing a spoof, but then I decided to try and spoof a movie instead of someone else's picture. Well this is what I came up with. The boiling bunny from Fatal Attraction inspired this shot. :D
When Jane saw it, she asked me if I was disturbed. :P What do you think?

I think he seriously lacked the skills to handle a lady especially a hot one like this one. if I were him, I would buy her a nice meal of chilly crab and then whispered sweet nothing into her ears if I could find them. Pour her a glass of 1945 French vintage red wine. By now she would be madly in love already. Totally irresistible at this stage and she soon lost control and make great love with me. so much better than being eaten alive. As what the bee gees once said .....staying alive......staying alive !

This triangular building by Silas Clark Herring in 1849 as a factory for the Herring Safe & Lock Company. Located on a triangular plot at Ninth Avenue, Hudson Street and West 14th Street, it is sometimes referred to as the "Little Flatiron Building."
The Herring factory occupied the building until the early 1880s. By 1884, the entire complex gained a fifth floor, and the interior was converted to stores with lofts above. Today it houses Vento Trattoria, a hip Italian restaurant. Downstairs is the restaurant's lounge, Level V, which used to be J's Hangout, an underground gay club, which was formerly the gay leather club The Manhole, and before that the straight Hellfire Club.
The façade of the red brick factory features a steady tempo of fenestration and (with the exception of Ninth Avenue) the building's 1884 cornice. Many of the building’s storefronts were bricked over.
Lofts still occupy the upper floors. The building contained Glenn Close's apartment in Fatal Attraction. Ed Harris jumps out of the north corner in The Hours.
The small hummingbird feeder attracts a constant stream of ants, many of which get trapped in the liquid. Maybe we should stop putting ant crack in the hummingbird feeder.
