This is a somewhat cheesy fall scene from the mountains near the Ga/Tenn border. This was another power line nightmare and there was a row of white homes in the background. I painted them all out and swapped them for a barn from another location.

I'll never forget my first visit to a Second Life Christmas Tree Farm, last year. It was magical. Being here in beautiful Crisp Kringle@Frogmore, reminded me of that time.

Early winter on a late pewter light afternoon...the aged maples are spreading their skeletal branches once again. I have revisited this farm lane many times this past year only to discover new nuances of beauty and a lasting serenity like none other. The terrain is high here and the wind sweeps across the farmland with a pulsating rhythm and audible breathe. Birds scurry and abandon themselves to flight while the crisp air clings to the lungs and sheds aromas of seasonal earthiness. Ashfield, MA

Finally made it out with my new sigma 1.4 105mm art a few days ago. Headed up to Overtoun House and across to Garshake Burn in search of the common blue butterflies. No such luck as it’s still a bit early in the season up in Scotland. Still there was plenty of spring like scenery. As I came back across the hidden valley, towards Overtoun house I came out the main path and headed down the road to Barnhill Farm.
