Navajo blanket at Mesa Verde Museum. Kind of odd actually, since the Navajo are not particular fond of the Mesa Verde area. This is a phase one style blanket. Color is very distored due to protective glass and flash photography. 103108

as winter settles upon us i thought it would be a good time to remember this photograph from our time with chris this past fall. todd and i had not seen the ocean in over two years and that's way too long to be away from our source.

let me explain...

i believe it was john f. kennedy who clued me into this years ago that "all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean..."

i feel blessed now to be surrounded by water once again. to hear the crashing waves and feel the connection.
