partially inspired by something I saw in a magazine by photographer Warren Mell - where he used 8-10 different exposures and lenses to create a surreal forest of aspen leaves glittering in the falltime.
here 8 different exposures of this tree (google maps link) as I loved the way the sun, the clouds and this tree all looked at the time. just wasn't happy with the photos individually. experimenting with photomatix, this is the net result of those eight layered together... creating a surreal ghostly image of the tree beckoning to the sun.
i like it now. do you? or not?
makes for a lovely 1280 x 795 desktop image.

note - the google maps link above will take you away from flickr - open in new window or firefox tab. The tree is the big green circle west of the sci-fi washrooms (the white roundish shape on the pathway) roughly where the pathway and the roadway become parallel.

Turns out there's a playground at Mt. Tabor. Which is a good follow up to my falltime experiments. I really like the reflections down the center.
Briefly in explore.
Colours of autumn, white from the moss, dark red from heather, green from lingon (yes they are there if you look close and carfully) :)
and yellow from some small birches.
This Coyote has been on display inside the visitors center at Coyote Hills for as long as I can remember. When I went inside, I couldn’t find him because he was moved into a different display with other taxidermied animals. I asked where he was and the employee said, No, there are no coyotes on display. I told her, uh-huh, lady ma’am, It’s been in here for over 38 years. Coyote Hills Regional Park in Union City, California on November 2, 2018
