Im Sommer würde die Sonne mit gleisender Helligkeit und Wärme schon den Dunst der aus den Tälern aufsteigt wegbrennen, jetzt im Winter, hat sie viel weniger Kraft.
In summer, the sun would already burn away the haze that rises from the valleys with its track-like brightness and warmth, now in winter, it has much less power.
Die Sonne färbt die Nebelschwaden die aus dem bunten Herbstwald aufsteigen. Schade das es so schnell vorbei war.
The sun colours the clouds of mist that rise from the colourful autumn forest. Too bad that it was over so quickly.
Heute Morgen war die Sonne noch nicht hinter den dichten Wolken zu sehen, leuchtet aber schön die Wolken von unten an.
This morning the sun was not yet visible behind the dense clouds, but it shines beautifully from below.
Die Felder sind schon für die neue Ernte eingesät, die Bäume sind bunt und die Sonne erscheint nur noch in Wolkenlücken. Herbst in der Nordpfalz.
The fields are already sown for the new harvest, the trees are colorful and the sun appears only in cloud gaps. Autumn in the Northern Palatinate.

Sunlight streaming through trees in autumn in Central Park.
I love the brisk quality of light in the autumn especially in the evenings. It's as if the sun is trying to penetrate through past winter all the way forward into spring.

Little monster's creeping out.
Mischievous and silly they move about.
Looking for things to take and tout.
Capturing them on Halloween using a trout.
They sniff out the bait with their little snout.
I think I caught one in mid pout.
I have no doubt.

Photograph of leaves in the sunlight and shadows, mirrored.
Some like the (unintended) vignette side-effect of using too wide an angle with the filter attached, so I decided to post an edited version ... and here it is.

This is one of the images that did not suffer so much from the vignette effect in this series of shots. I edited it in RAW - and possibly overdid it.

Last week her step-brother decided to move to LA and left today. We are all trying to digest... we spent some time enjoying the last of the fall sun... Helps a bit the Giants are still swinging.

I'm just kidding, the creek isn't actually "posing its waters" in response to "the flattery of my notice."

Obviously here was Zanesville as viewed from one of the most famous scenic overlooks in the United States.
In the next fifty years Zanesville is expected to grow to a population of 100,000 or more. This is very exciting and I look forward to welcoming the new residents!
