Memleket isterim
Gök mavi, dal yeşil, tarla sarı olsun;
Kuşların çiçeklerin diyarı olsun.
Memleket isterim
Ne başta dert, ne gönülde hasret olsun;
Kardeş kavgasına bir nihayet olsun.
Memleket isterim
Ne zengin fakir, ne sen ben farkı olsun;
Kış günü herkesin evi barkı olsun.
Memleket isterim
Yaşamak, sevmek gibi gönülden olsun;
Olursa bir şikayet ölümden olsun.

Wilde Karde
There's never any hustle and bustle on a fuller’s teasel like this!
A rush may be.
If you ever want to practise „shooting“ macros of bees and bumblebees hand-held with manual lenses — any fool can do autofocus! —, I recommend looking out for a wild teasel in June to August.
All the pollinators and harvesters move very slooooowly and it is a lot of work for the little guys to plunder every single little flower.
Here, by the way, you can see very nicely how these calyxes are formed and develop in a wreath shape before they fall off individually after pollination.
Hence the often "dishevelled" image effect of teasels…

Auf so einer Karde herrscht nie Hektik!
Andrang schon.

These perches, in various guises, have been in my back garden for weeks now, and this is the first time I've seen a Robin land on any of them....!!! OUCH----!!!! And only for a few seconds..OOOO--!!! Come to think of it...only the Goldfinches have ever landed on them....!!
Ah, fishing is a wonderful occupation!
A hobby and a tricky business!
Commercial or sports,
Or just — from nothing to do!
And of course, the excitement of fishing
Not to understand the hurry-up winded.
In a word , at least what do you designate it —
But a fisherman is a very complicated something —
He spends hours with a spinning rod, with a fishing rod, whether it's
raining, whether it's sunny, chilly, warm,
How a fakir waits for a gyurza with a miracle pipe,
So the fisherman expects a catch!
From the boat, from the shore, in the hole or from the bridge,
If only the fish… But — the holiday has come!
In a word, "No scales for you, no tail!"
Let everything be fine with you!

Isn't it nice of me to give you some fakir training for free?
Uhmm, ouch?
Don't be silly, I won't neglect you training just because you're cute. Now say thank you.
Thank you, Mistress.

Toothpicks, what an odd theme for Macro Mondays. I had no idea, but Valeria helped me out. This is on top of a box of 450 wooden toothpicks.

One theory suggests that the name "Shimla" was derived from Shyamalaya, meaning 'blue house', a solitary house made of blue slate on Jakhu Hill, built by a fakir.
According to another version, the city gets its name from Shamli or Shyamala, meaning 'blue lady', referring to the Hindu goddess Kali. It is believed that a temple dedicated to goddess Shamli, an incarnation of Kali, used to be on the Jakhu hillside near the Rothney Castle. Many believe that during the British period, the image of the goddess was shifted to a new place, the now-famous Kali Bari Temple.
In 2018, the state government decided to change the city's name from Shimla to Shyamala. However, seeing the negative response of the general public, the state government dismissed the plan.
Most of the area occupied by present-day Shimla city was dense forest during the 18th century. The only sign of civilisation was the Jakhu Temple and various other temples, a few scattered houses, and nearby villages which has now turned out as posh and major neighbourhoods of the city. The area was called 'Shimla', named after Hindu goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of Kali.

In Omdurman, every Friday evening ,one can witness the wonderful
Dhiker ceremony at Hamed al Nil Tomb.
The Tomb lies in middle of a huge cemetery , where Sufis and fakirs ( Dervishe's)
dressed in there colorful outfits dance and performs the ceremony.
I saw this young man actively participating in the ceremony in his magnificent getup.

I've found so many beautiful rusty things ... It was hard for me to make a decision. Well, this is a detail of a rusted rasp/slicer sheet. I also could not resist the temptation to use Barbie again ;-) /
