I was out taking pictures with a friend of mine this Autumn and then we happened to stumble upon a wedding coulple as they came out of the church. Of course I snuck up and took some pictures. And she probably saw my lense and felt obligated to smile ;-)

Colour re-edit of a shot from September 2020 that, for me, really sums up the "epidemiological stupidity" of decisions being made in England on July 19th 2021. Having one of those days where a little help is required in the smile department. Luckily, I had a smile-on-a-stick lying around for just this type of situation.

A friend reminded me today that I have the tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve, which results often in my getting needlessly hurt over things I really shouldn't be letting myself get so upset over. So I'm trying to just buck up and not let stuff bother me so much. And using a smile-on-a-stick until I get there.

Just a little sarcasm. I think the worst part of the entire thing that happened with my (and 2 other photographer's) images was that the editor sent identical e-mails claiming it was an accident. How do you accidentally download and use 4 photographs you do not have the right to use on a total of (counting all 4 images) 35 or more pages?

I guess I am supposed to take their "whoops" e-mail and go along on my merry way.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me, shutterblog and -angela in this matter with your comments and suggestions.

I'm really sorry for the shitty photos. I just do not have time and I do not feel that motivated to go on long photoshots.

This morning I actually went to the graveyard to take photos in my red dress and I wanted to try some different shutter speeds and stuff. But it was freezing cold so I completely failed! I went home by bike and on my way I didn't see that there was ice on the road so I fell off the bike and hurt my butt :/

Soo, there are only two weeks until winter break yay! hopefully I will take better photos with Lilly (maaaaybe tomorrow when we are filming for our school project in french)

and in London wooopi daa da doo! Yes I'm going to London with my best friend and I'm soo extremely excited I can't even...

yeessss.. hope you have a great day (mine isn't that great but oh well..)

2015-01-17: My wife and I stopped at a big-box clothing retailer one evening. While she was looking through the leftovers of Christmas returns, I stumbled on these ridiculously happy mannequins displaying the Chinese-made apparel. I instantly thought of the R.E.M. song, "Shiny Happy People."

There are some types of career, for example the so called management or sales, where socializing after work hours is part of their job task. You will have to befriend with some business partners who are not your “real” friends. Inevitably you might have to do some fake smiles from time to time.

In 1994 I was applying to colleges who had great Geography programs. (my major) I applied to UCLA (dream), UC Santa Barbara (why not) and Fresno State (safety school). I got accepted immediately to UCSB and Fresno State, but UCLA took their time. One of the guys I played basketball with at the local park was a guy from my high school named Eric. He was a year ahead and already going to UCSB with 3 others from his high school class. He invited me up for a night to see if I liked it up there. I did. Waiting for UCLA, I decided if they didn’t want me, then I’d go with my #2. So he and I were roommates for one year, and then again from 2001-2004 while living in LA. So I know the guy pretty good. He’s a professional chef and just last year he met the woman of his dreams, Nooshi. He asked me to be a guest, but I told him I could be a guest and also help take pictures.

As you’ll see from my instantly updated blog, he and his wife have a great sense of humor. Now they met on eHarmony.com, and in tribute to all those goofy, “real-life couple” eHarmony photos they have on their site, they decided to create some of their own, and submit them to the website. Man, would that be the best photo credit ever. (then again, I think this was my 10th eharmony wedding)

I know that it was wrong of me to use Photoshop to put a cheesy and insincere smile on the face of this scheming little Koala, but I couldn't help myself. I was able, however, to stop myself from putting a cigar in its mouth, so I haven't completely lost it. Yet.

I feel like a clown today... I'm studying my ass off n there's no point in it !! We just got our ******* Paper's graded and guess what? Most of the International Students (myself included) got lower marks than the local students... but we had just one or two mistakes on the paper... the local students on the other had had a nice red ink designs on their paper :-/

I'm so irritated !!

I'm soooo stressed lately.

I'll be 18 in September and I still have no idea what I really want to do with my life. I can't decide whether to go for a career with photography or horses -- or both! I can't find a school I like. I don't know whether to go out of state or stay close. I need to make up my mind.

I can't wait til summer so I can make more money and finally buy a car - I'm pretty sure I'm buying alan's car from him. It's not the greatest, but it's all I can do.
