My Chevy 1500 is lifted 6" with a Fabtech lift which I did myself. It rides on 35" BFG KM2's rapped around KMC XD 775's. Other upgrades include N-Fab light bar and steps, AFE cold air intake and an Edge programmer. It's my baby and she has gotten me to my hunting spots every time!

I’m back at my home in a suburb outside of Toronto. You know, in that evil nation that is full of awful people known as ‘Canadians.’ This morning, I’m off to keynote Fabtech Canada, a massive manufacturing conference put on by SME (formerly, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers)
I think they like me - this is the 7th time they’ve booked me to headline an event in this industry since 2010, when I first spoke to 1,500 manufacturing executives in Las Vegas (incidentally, at the same hotel that I spoke at yesterday.) Let’s see if they still like me after my message from the stage later today.
It’s an interesting time in manufacturing. Some people and some countries seem to think that pursuing a strategy of whining, complaining and bullying is an effective future strategy. That #MAGA strategy is LOL, really.
For this Canadian audience, I’ll paint a picture of the future with facts, since the country is one that still seems to believe that facts matter. Such as this fact: robotics, automation and intelligent manufacturing technology has replaced far more North American workers than have Mexican or Chinese facilities.
Like I’ve said many times before - the future of manufacturing is all about 3D printing, advanced robotics and cobotics, mass customization, reskilling & retraining, advanced materials, intelligent products and so much more.
Look, you can try and whine your way into the future. Whining didn’t work for my 2 year old kids. It won’t work for you.
Instead, the path to the future is found in reinventing your business, yourself, and your mindset.
I’m looking forward to this mornings keynote. And given the current state of political idiocy south of the border, I fully expect to be able to score some cheap and easy humour hits making fun of the strategies of their southern ‘friends.’ After all, in which an idiot is at the controls, you have got to stick up for the home team.
