Wednesday 16th March 2022, RAF Valley had two F-16 Fighting Falcons divert in due to adverse weather conditions on the East Coast of the United Kingdom. These F-16's are based in Aviano, Italy
The US Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, known as "Thunderbirds", performing aerial demonstrations in F-16C Fighting Falcon at Jones Beach.
The Bethpage Air Show is a Memorial Day weekend tradition, this is the 19th annual event that draws hundreds of thousands of spectators.
To avoid the crowd and traffic, we went to the practice show, saw the same performances but with a fraction of the spectators.
Enjoy your weekend, and I will be taking a moment this weekend to honor those who served our nation and are no longer with us!
Unfortunately Yesterday's air show was totally washed out,
Saturday with better day, I always go on Sunday.

Air Force Thunderbird F-16 hits the afterburner in a tight turn. Taken at the 2025 Air Show over Hampton Roads, Virginia.
First at QIAS, now in Rochester. I will see this jet sometime again next month at the Airshow London. Hoping for some vapor.

Fun day trip to the U.S. to watch the Royal Air Force Red Arrows perform at the Thunder Over Michigan Airshow.
The evening show delivered plenty of "aha!" moments—and a few "ehhh" ones. The latter came courtesy of the bright, low sun, which put almost every shot in heavy backlit conditions. As any aviation photographer knows, that often means softer images than you'd like.

Opening the Scottish International Airshow 2017 was this solo display in an F-16 Fighting Falcon by a pilot from the Belgian Air Force. A stunning display with thunderous sound. Captured using a 2x Extender on my 200mm lens and still needing quite a heavy crop in post - enjoy!
Experimenting lower shutter speeds on fast moving jets. Only a few keepers but I am beginning to like them.

This photograph was taken at this years Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England. The Air Tattoo is one of the largest air displays in Europe and has visitors from all around the world as participants and visitors. The Air Tattoo has been in existence for about 50 years, albeit not always at RAF Fairford. The Air Tattoo website link is at www.airtattoo.com/
