Summer breeze, grab the shades, sand castles, bucket, spades, miles of golden sands, lovers strolling hand in hand,
Weston-Super-Mare's pretty pier, I'm from Bristol so it's near,
flip-flops shorts, floppy hat, Tropicana Banksy's rat, run around, act the fool, grab a beer and play it cool. 🍻
The End.

Sun Safety
I recently bought these Polaroid sunglasses, they seem nice and very comfortable, I lost my other pair by leaving them on my car roof and driving off.
Bit stupid really and not the first time either.
Let's hope I have learned my lesson now! Ha,ha.
Love & Peace everyone!
Please protect your eyes in the summer sunshine. 👍
Through Bug’s Eyes -
Night walks have always been my thing. When the wind chases the Cumulonimbus away and the sinking sun darkened the entire sky, I come out for a stroll. The path less travelled is safe at night because robber flies are yet awake from dreams gone awry. Black-eyed Susan vines send their green scent in the late hours and toadstools sway in the cool night breeze. What’s not to adore about nighttime? Between the redwoods and pines, I met an old neighbor and asked how he was. He replied,” Oh fine, thank you.” Then he added, “And how are you both?” I laughed at the spider with too many eyes. Amused, I leaned over and point out, “You should go to Clarkson Eyecare because there’s only one of me.” At the usual stop near the tall reeds, my antenna stabs on purpose a prominent ripple in the stream. There I waited for my favorite show, how tranquility returns stealthily to the surface. Beneath the Chandelier Tree on its foliage, I sat silent and long as rocks often do, looking up at the starry eyes that wink. I can’t help but ask a question. Am I watching them or are they watching me? In due time, a smiling crescent slips through the branches and serve her lunar beam on my back. I table tennis with glee, a sidespin of transitional orange and flick a return of bluish turquoise in the next minute. Ah, surely the highlight of my night walk is playing ping-pong with the moon.
Excerpt from www.flamboroughtoday.com/spotlight/waterdown-village-welc...:
A highlight of fall in Waterdown Village is the annual Scarecrow Walk, starting in this eighth year on October 11 and running right until Hallowe’en.
“Once again, our local businesses and community partners will display uniquely decorated scarecrows, animating our streetscape and giving people of all ages more than 130 reasons to Walk Waterdown,” exclaimed Waterdown Village BIA Board of Management Chair, Amanda Groves.
She added, “The Scarecrow Walk has fast become a signature event for the community. Clues featuring mugshots of favourite monsters will be placed on 20 randomly selected scarecrows for scavengers to find for a chance to win shopping spree prizes. You can discover new businesses, take selfies with your favourite scarecrow entries, and test your detective skills to find all 130+ scarecrows and all 20 clues, for a wonderful day out for the whole family.”

This type of clock tower is known as a ‘Jubilee Clock’ and it was originally erected to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887. Officially opened in 1890, it was constructed by local builder Richard Arber and was paid for by the people of the town by “voluntary contribution”. The clock itself was donated by Charles Blanton, a Newmarket racehorse trainer and to this day it is wound by hand every week.
Newmarket is a market town and civil parish in the West Suffolk district of Suffolk, England. Located 23 km west of Bury St Edmunds and 23 km northeast of Cambridge. It is considered the birthplace and global centre of thoroughbred horse racing. It is a major local business cluster, with annual investment rivalling that of the Cambridge Science Park, the other major cluster in the region. It is the largest racehorse training centre in Britain, the largest racehorse breeding centre in the country, home to most major British horseracing institutions, and a key global centre for horse health. Two Classic races, and an additional three British Champions Series races are held at Newmarket every year. The town has had close royal connections since the time of James I, who built a palace there, and was also a base for Charles I, Charles II, and most monarchs since. Elizabeth II visited the town often to see her horses in training.
Newmarket has over fifty horse training stables, two large racetracks, the Rowley Mile and the July Course, and one of the most extensive and prestigious horse training grounds in the world. The town is home to over 3,500 racehorses, and it is estimated that one in every three local jobs is related to horse racing. Palace House, the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art, the National Horseracing Museum, Tattersalls racehorse auctioneers, and two of the world's foremost equine hospitals for horse health, are in the town, which is surrounded by over sixty horse breeding studs. On account of its leading position in the multibillion-pound horse racing and breeding industry, it is also a major export centre.

Three of several hundreds of pairs of glasses recently donated to Lions Clubs International for distribution free of charge to people around the world who could never afford to buy them new.
If you wear eyeglasses, a Lions Club near you wants your old eyeglasses. Those glasses are of no value to you now, but to one of the millions of people around the world who cannot access proper eyecare, they can make the difference of a life of poverty or the ability to get a good job or an education!

I don't write about civilian aviation all that much, but I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to write an article on Orbis International, an organization that has used a series of ever-more-advanced Flying Eye Hospitals to perform sight-restoring surgery on patients in underdeveloped nations and to train eyecare specialists in those countries on the latest ophthalmic surgical techniques. Though grounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, Orbis never stopped training eye surgeons around the world through their virtual platform, and are now poised to put their newest Flying Eye Hospital, a McDonnell-Douglas MD10, back to work around the world. Pictured is Orbis' second-generation FEH, the second DC-10 ever built and still the lowest-flight hour example of the type on display at the Pima Air and Space Museum.

Sorry if I gross you out by posting this, I just thought I would let you guys know how bad I am addicted to photography. I have had something going on with my right eye since Monday August 10th. It has been very painful and sensitive to light but that has not stopped me from going out with my camera. Call me stupid I guess. I thought what ever this is, would go away on its own but my husband has finally talked me into making a doc appointment. I go this Friday to find out what it is. I am thinking it may be pink eye but I’m not sure. Advil helps with the pain but today I started getting blurred vision. Sucks but not bad enough to keep me inside =0)
Update on my eye.......I went to the optomologist today and was told that I have Iritis. For those interested: www.kmgwebs.com/eyecare/Iritis.html
You know how usually by the time you get to the doctor, your symptoms have mostly cleared up? Not the case this time.....i woke up at 6am this morning with the worse pain ever....my eye was throbbing so bad. It took me almost an hour just to be able to open my eye and when I did, I looked in the mirror and my pupil was staying very tiny while the pupil in my good eye was large. I was a bit worried.....guess I could not have picked a better day to be going to the doctor.
The doctor told me that unfortunately they can not determine how or why I got it. He said it can be associated with Rumatoid Arthritis so he sent me over to the hospital for blood work. He gave me some eyedrops and asked to see me back in 2 weeks. So, with any luck the blood work will come back normal and the eyedrops will clear me up in a few days. He did warn me that sometimes it can take several weeks to recover. All I can say is thank goodness for Ibuprofen because without it, my eye is useless.
I am not going to let this stop me from taking pictures....It is suppose to be a gorgeous weekend in my neck of the woods and I plan on being out in it as much as I can! They always say....No Pain, No Gain!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! =0)
I was a bench chemist at Baush & Lomb (an eyecare company). One of my responsibilities was investigating solutions returned by consumers because they appeared to have been tampered with. It was great fun...I felt like Sherlock Holmes...
Our most interesting case: A mother was horrified to discover that her teenaged son's contact lens solution had mysteriously turned red. We performed tests to reach a scientific conclusion...but it was really quite obvious that the son was concealing a stash of wine coolers in old contact lens solution bottles.

Dilated
New Eye Doctor Thursday. Marne had found Central Ohio EyeCare and mentioned it to me. They have an office in Powell so I suggested we go there to Julie. Today was our first appointment and I really like the doctor and the office. Hopefully the glasses I picked out will be alright for me for the next year or two. Julie wasn't happy about the dilation.
Before the eye doctor I had an appointment with my Primary Car Physician to discuss the results of my Holter Monitor. He mentioned that the PVC occurrences was pretty high in the 24-hour period. But since I am not having symptoms it is strange. They could put me on a beta blocker but that would reduce my heart rate which ranged from 40 to over 120 during my Holter Monitor time. I asked if he could tell me what time of day my heart rate was at 120 but he said the results don't read like that. I can't think of anything I did in that 24 hours that would have raised my heart rate that high. Maybe a nightmare?
Julie also had a NutriMost appointment this morning.
And, of course, we ended the day by going to LA Fitness again. This time we went to the Powell location; yesterday was Graceland Shopping Center. Such a waste of time and money...
