After Europes largest land animal, let's get back into my garden to the other extreme, the Goldcrest, which is one of Europes smallest birds.
I found this little guy almost accidentally when I saw an unusual movement in a conifer, where he was looking for insects. Due to his behavior of feeding from the underside of the conifers, I had a tough task getting to a half decent shot in the short timeframe he was around. Eventually I got this one, showing him in his natural habitat, framed by the conifer branches.

The color here is really to the extreme end. The purple cast is mostly from the stacking of two cokin GND filters, haven't figured out a good way to remove this yet.

Finally we are in Italy ... One hand on the wheel, another camera. time passes so quickly. What we see as well. Adept intensely live: every second, every sight, every sensation is extreme. We have only a few things .. then let's possessed!

Probably the most extreme mountain range I've had the privilege to photograph, camp at its base, and just be in its presence. I felt these extreme mountains deserved some extreme processing. The thought of chiaroscuro and tenebrism popped into my head as I converted this single frame to a black & white. By pushing the shadows and darks to their extremes, the early morning light on Cerro Torre seemed balanced and more dramatic, drawing me in to these magnificent peaks!
