Eilean Donan is one of the most iconic castles in Scotland, recognised all over the world and it is situated on an island at the point where three lochs meet. I captured this photo during my last trip to Skye.

The first time I went there I wasn’t able to see the lighthouse due to the baltic weather and storm, this time however it was in full view for me to capture and even better with the colours of the sky and the soft waters.
Definitely worth the second trip.
It was impossible for me not to stop in front of this dramatic scenery: heavy clouds and a view of the snowy peaks reflecting on the still water.

Every time I go back home to Italy I feel the need to visit this location. It's incredible how one place can give you so many emotions. Here is a shot from this summer - a stormy sea at sunset, quite spectacular.
During my last trip to the Isle of Skye I went to one of the most popular locations on the Isle, the Fairy Pools, which were completely frozen and almost unrecognisable. A few moments after I took the shot I was caught in a snow blizzard coming from the Cuillins.
This picture was taken from inside my tent during a rainy evening, showing you don’t need to go far to find the perfect spot for a photo.
You will never forget your first time on the Isle of Skye, surrounded by mystical sceneries and magical light it will make you feel like you’re in a fairy tale.

Back in February, I visited this waterfall near Ben Nevis. Due to the weather there was only a small amount of water flowing down which enabled me to get so close. This is Scotland's second highest waterfall with a single drop of 120 metres.
Among all seasons autumn is my favourite. It has perfect temperatures, amazing smells and stunning colours. This is a picture from a couple of days ago in Dunkeld after a week of heavy rain.

Wonderful evening at the Three Peaks of Lavaredo in the Italian Dolomites, low clouds and the light peering in from the valley created perfect conditions for this shot.
After a long summer of travelling, I’ve finally found time to edit and complete my photos.

An image from my recent trip to the Devil's Pulpit, a 100ft deep gorge not far from Loch Lomond. The first thing you will notice is the incredible contrast between the green moss and the red ground which makes the water look like blood.

This here is probably my favourite image captured in Italy, the rough sea contrasting with the warm colours of the sky creates a dream-like look.

Knowing that there will be no hope in the restoration or preservation of the mural, The Silent Wall is a photographic documentation of the longest painted public mural in the world, dedicated to the residents and visitors of Kuala Lumpur, its future generations and all who value the City's heritage & history.
Demolition has began in earnest, as predicted, starting in mid June 2010 on the Jalan Pudu flank, with the Jalan Hang Tuah flank scheduled by the end of the year.
In 2008/9, a small group of keen photographers began photographing each and every mural panel of the whole perimeter wall of the prison, and the result is this 'working sample' book, The Silent Wall.
The book is 8x10 inches, 80 pages in full colour.
Only a limited 50 copies will be available of this sample edition. This is a non-profit print-on-demand publication.

Received a copy of "Silent Wall" " from Steven V-L Lee, which is a planned-to-be-published book on the Pudu Prison (Pudoh Gaol - 1895; designed by ACA Norman) murals.
As part of a joint-exercise, 4 of his workshop participants volunteered to photograph the mural(s) of the historical and now de-commisioned Pudu Jail. Special mention was made in the publication, for the contribution.

It was said that the inmates often used their fingers to paint the scenes under the watchful eye of the prison warden, and under the hot Malaysian sun for weeks on end during the early 80's. A Mr Khong Yen Chong, also an inmate, headed the painting of the murals.
The Prison, situated in the city centre, occupies prime development land; it has been earmarked for demolition and the land redeveloped by the owners, UDA (Urban Development Authority).

Pudoh Gaol, as it was then coined, was designed by ACA Norman and built in 1895. It is the oldest remand centre in Malaysia. Built by the British, it is a mixture of Moorish, Tudor, Neo-lassical and Neo-Gothic influences combined with local architectural styles of the period.

Met up with Steven V-L Lee again after attending his workshop in June/July last year. Steven is the Project Manager for the KL Photoawards 2009. He has published several books including "Museo", "Malaysians" & "Outside Looking In: Kuala Lumpur". Soon to include "Silent Wall"
