2nd Explore photo! #303
I got inspired last night while looking through the flickr community. There are so many talented photographers on here; I wish had half the skill and creativity as some of you. So many ideas are floating through my head and I can't wait until I'm fully healed and can get back to taking photographs...and for real this time :)
Happy Friday, Flickr!! This mommy is in much need for some girl time!! The local mom club here is doing a pub crawl tonight and I'm super excited to get out of the house. Never been to one before so it should be interesting...and I'm doing photos for the group...woo hoo!!
Nothing too creative today. I really wanted to do some more strobist stuff so I broke out the speedlight for some splash shots.

Did a night shoot with Adam Bender www.flickr.com/photos/adambender/. This was the last stop of the night. We had never seen a night image of ontario's last covered bridge. (The Kissing Bridge). This is the first time i have had a chance in months to go out and shoot something i really enjoy. It was a great night. the weather was beautiful for the first time in a long time. it was so quiet. all we could hear were the sounds of the animals. Thought we might see the headless horseman come riding through, but no luck. lol
*This is the last covered bridge in Ontario and was built in 1881.

My father Dick Clark took this photo, I am guessing it was the early 1960's. Can anyone comment on when the baths disappeared? I don't know how he got in, but I remember that he used to joke that if you were wearing a white shop jacket, hardhat and carrying a clipboard that you could go just about anywhere.

Had some time after the Design awards so we snuck up to Moeraki. Perfect conditions for photography, low cloud, drizzle... Perfect! Please enjoy and feel free to comment!
IF YOU FAV MY PHOTO, OR GIVE IT AN AWARD (PLEASE NO IMAGES), PLEASE TAKE AN EXTRA FEW SECONDS TO ADD YOUR PERSONAL THOUGHTS TO YOUR COMMENT, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

Exploring London streets on a summer evening. Candid shots taken handheld (no tripod); in some occasions used trash bins and traffic signal boxes!
Shutter Speed 1.0 sec, used a trash bin
Exploring the environment of the hummingbirds, I found this moth on the Lantana flowers.
I don't know the species of moth and butterflies. Could anyone help me with the ID, please?

Zen is the Japanese variant of Chán, a school of Mahayana Buddhism which strongly emphasizes dhyana c.q. concentration-meditation. This gives insight into ones true nature, or the emptiness of inherent existence, which opens the way to a liberated way of living.:credit-wikipedia

Merry christmas and happy new year! Let's hope the new year of 2012 will be favorable for photography and exploring of nature. Ofcourse couple of volcanoes and unexpected adventures would be great too ;-)
This is a self-portrait inside a recently formed ice cave in the glaciers on the south coast of Iceland. Entering this cave is only possible in a freezing period due to the "floor" is actually a small lagoon.
Cheers, Skarpi
