Kaw Point: Where the Missouri River and the Kansas River meet. The Kansas City skyline is in the distance.

This is the famous spot that on June 26, 1804 where Lewis and Clark made their way west.

The expedition camped at Kaw Point for three days to rest, repair their boats, explore the surrounding countryside, and for the first time during their journey, engage martial law.

I came across the footprints left in the cold on the sidewalk and decided to use them to guide the viewer towards the city skyline.

Manley Hot Springs is the place where kayaks are assembled and where they depart for the Yukon.

It felt like people were going on an expedition… on top of Storsteinen, the mountain behind Tromso.

Today's shot kinda follows the same theme as yesterday. It's an old shot that I overlooked until now when I decided I could probably make something work with it. This shot is actually all the way back to 2011 when I was still shooting the D7000. That's 4 years from the time I shot it til I actually bothered to do anything with it. Hopefully it was worth the wait. Enjoy.

The Origo with Swedish crew of 8 and 12 total photographers was our home for 10 days as we cruised the Svalbard Archipelago; shot from zodiac; Norway

I put a CR2016 lithium battery into this Timex Expedition last night, and it still works fine. This used to be my beater work watch until the band broke several years ago. I ordered a new canvas band for it last night so that I can return it to duty.

A zodiac load of expedition cruisers approaches Point Wild on Elephant Island, Antarctica.

My first post from our Svalbard expedition last august.

We had an extraordinary encounter with various animals such as 15 Polar bears, Reindeer, Walruses, Seals, Arctic Foxes, whales such as Belugas, Fin whales and Minke whales, and around 23 species of birds.

Landscape and ice up there is also very unique, we sailed up to 82.2°N, aproximate 600 km from the north pole, where we met two Polar bears on the ice.

Thanks to our great group of particiants, and amazing guides Daniel Bergmann and Jonas Beyer for making the expedition extraordinary.

We will be back in Svalbard in August next year and have a few spots available if you want to join the adventure

5976: River Expedition

This was pretty much just adding more to my original revamp of the set. A few tweaks were made here and there on the boat, the cave has been given more terrain and a little wooden walkway. Along with additional plant life too.

There is one merged element in this build. It's the sun disk in the cave. I kept it because I really liked the design I made for it.

The Soyuz MS-01 spacecraft launches from the Baikonur Cosmodrome with Expedition 48-49 crewmembers Kate Rubins of NASA, Anatoly Ivanishin of Roscosmos and Takuya Onishi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) onboard, Thursday, July 7, 2016 , Kazakh time (July 6 Eastern time), Baikonur, Kazakhstan. Rubins, Ivanishin, and Onishi will spend approximately four months on the orbital complex, returning to Earth in October.
