Kaw Point: Where the Missouri River and the Kansas River meet. The Kansas City skyline is in the distance.
This is the famous spot that on June 26, 1804 where Lewis and Clark made their way west.
The expedition camped at Kaw Point for three days to rest, repair their boats, explore the surrounding countryside, and for the first time during their journey, engage martial law.
I came across the footprints left in the cold on the sidewalk and decided to use them to guide the viewer towards the city skyline.

The morning starts with a Sunrise but where i am stood it's raining. Typical English weather.

My first post from our Svalbard expedition last august.
We had an extraordinary encounter with various animals such as 15 Polar bears, Reindeer, Walruses, Seals, Arctic Foxes, whales such as Belugas, Fin whales and Minke whales, and around 23 species of birds.
Landscape and ice up there is also very unique, we sailed up to 82.2°N, aproximate 600 km from the north pole, where we met two Polar bears on the ice.
Thanks to our great group of particiants, and amazing guides Daniel Bergmann and Jonas Beyer for making the expedition extraordinary.
We will be back in Svalbard in August next year and have a few spots available if you want to join the adventure

The taste of snow and fresh foggy air.
In recent weeks (months), a high-pressure weather situation has spread to us that has made spring to summer and makes us feel very hot temperatures. Everyone says that is climate change!
In our state, it has never rained very much and never really hard in recent months and the crop losses are 40%.
In short words, I am so hot! Therefore, this beautiful winter picture to get lost in, something to cool off!

I've always been a huge fan of the LEGO Orient Expedition theme, espcecially of the Himalaya sets.

Microscale polar expedition out on a research mission to study the Antarctic ice shelf thinning and the effect on the wildlife population, such as the seals. Expedition using couple of snowcat vehicles to traverse the frozen landscape.
I was inspired by the 2014 Arctic Lego sets and just had to build a microscale version.

Overview: Walt Disney World guests will discover for themselves the fearsome legend of the Yeti when experiencing Expedition EVEREST. This high-speed train adventure combines coaster-like thrills with the excitement of a close encounter with the Abominable Snowman.
The Expedition EVEREST adventure begins when guests board an old mountain railway destined for Mount Everest. As the train heads for the snowy mountain peak, it passes through bamboo forests, waterfalls and fields of glaciers.
The excitement begins when it's discovered that the train tracks end in a twisted wreck of metal. From here, the train careens backwards and forwards through darkness, frigid canyons and treacherous caverns. A face to face encounter with the legendary Yeti (guardian of the Himalayas) brings this tumultuous train ride to its dramatic conclusion.

In 2009 the vessel was converted into a cruise/passenger ship, with new tonnages of 6,334 g.t. & 965 dwt.
