To my surprise, the Morton Williams supermarket at LaGuardia and Bleecker has a very impressive selection of imported foods, including the delectables shown here. There was also a large array of those rectangular German cakes, lots of licorice, cardamom coffee, Cadbury Flake bars labeled in Arabic, . . . Most of it I'd seen before elsewhere, but the Swedish candies were new to me.
Both McVitie's are good, but I wish they had Plain Chocolate Caramel Digestives. That would be perfect.
On my daughters hobby farm she has some chickens that look like they came from the Sesamy street rock band
So somebody decided it was a good idea to play wrestle in the closet, after somebody pooped in there. To be fare they have a pee pad in the closet and are supposed to poop there, but not roll around in it after.
saw this unique very small insect and found it so beautiful. it isn't easy to photograph as it keeps on moving about. it is slightly smaller than the tip of a pencil eraser. anyone can assist me identifying this insect?
They wear special boots for the hammer throw. I'ld never seen anything quite like them...
We didn't go into Glasgow from Greenock. We saw the local castle and saw a flyer for Scottish Games that day a few miles the opposite direction in Largs so we hopped a bus and headed that way. We met the only non-French speaking person we couldn't understand on that bus. Wildly Scottish and perhaps a bit off, but we nodded and smiled and had a great time talking about American football and the Superbowl (I think). Anyway, we got to Largs and had a heck of a time finding the alleged games. Stopped at 3 shops before someone had heard of them and pointed us in the right direction (excellent ice cream shops BTW).

This year's Marching Band Show features an array of exotic ethnic percussion instruments, including this Turkish-made sliver-tone drum that is fitted tot he snare drummer's rig with a special bracket.
