Another 10-stop from Blast Beach a few weeks ago as I can't seem to get my backside into gear and get up for a sunrise of late.

I got a new (to me) camera, basically upgraded the xe1 as it stopped working - shutter curtain stuck down and not worth sending for repair but may have a go myself. I got out this afternoon and set off with tripod and ND filters. It was only as I got home and had a look that I realised the setting was jpeg!!! so no raw files to work with.
Could have kicked myself but it's a good lesson in impatience Would have only taken a couple of mins to realise . Lovely to escape to a quiet beach too - this one is mobbed in summer and getting busier every year

Many years ago farms were used by farmers. They had animals and there fields to work on. Today our food comes from a shop and farms are converted into places were rich people live.
Ex-GMTX CN 4903 & CN 4115 lead a transfer into the Port of Montreal. The water level at the eastern end of the Lachine Canal is quite high.
CATTEDRALE DI SANT'AMBROGIO.
La costruzione del Duomo dedicato a Sant’Ambrogio, Vescovo di Milano, fu avviata dal Duca Francesco II Sforza nel1532 su disegno di Antonio da Lonate e consacrata il 24 aprile 1612.
La facciata barocca - progettata dal Vescovo Juan Caramuel y Lobkowitz - fu giustapposta per rimediare all’asimmetria dell’edificio con la piazza antistante. La particolare curvatura ellissoidale e la straordinaria sobrietà pongono l'opera tra gli esempi più raffinati di architettura barocca.
Adiacente alla Cattedrale di Sant’Ambrogio si trova il Museo del Tesoro del Duomo: è costituito, in massima parte, da doni di Francesco II Sforza (1534).
Conserva preziosi corali e codici miniati da Agostino e Ferrante Decio, un pastorale in avorio, "La Pace", un preziosissimo reliquiario in argento cesellato in oro di scuola lombarda (XVI sec.), calici e reliquiari di varie epoche, una paramentale cinquecentesco, ricamato in oro zecchino ed usato a Monza nel 1805 per l'incoronazione di Napoleone Bonaparte.
